The Workers Solidarity Movement has taken the decision to disband the
organisation some 37 years after it formed. While we recognise the WSM's manyachievements over the years and while we are each committed to continuing thecause of anarchism in some capacity, we have collectively agreed that the WSM isno longer the best vehicle to achieve that aim. ---- We intend to maintainexisting WSM material on and offline as an archive. We also intend to developdiscussions around what the legacy of the organisation is, its achievements andlessons to be drawn for the future. ---- Each of us expects to remain active inanarchist politics and indeed to often find ourselves working together, includingpotentially as members of future organisations. We recognise that old habits arehard to overcome and that younger generations of anarchists are better placed tocome up with the structures and organising practices most suited to the currentmoment.As anarchists, we still carry a new world in our hearts. We know that the way youfight back and struggle will shape the victory. The WSM has come to an end.
