Since the beginning of the rainy season, the trail of destruction and death in
more than 300 municipalities is seen in the states of Minas Gerais and Bahia.
Since October 2021, these two states have accounted for more than 70,000 homeless
or displaced people and more than 50 deaths. ---- ENOUGH BLAMING NATURE FOR THE
CRIMES OF THE STATE AND CAPITALISM! ---- Mining and agribusiness are two facets
of the same coin. They destroy our natural resources, weaken the soil, change the
harmony of nature and, as a result, subject us to increasingly extreme situations.

The Zema government (Partido NOVO) shows itself as another lackey in the service
of the great Capital and works so that the laws are increasingly weak with these
exploiters of nature and the people.

The so-called flexibilization of nature conservation laws has only one objective:
To infinitely increase the profits of mining companies, agribusiness and stock
exchange shareholders.

Meanwhile, the people are left with the constant fear caused by the lack of
safety of the dams, the disease caused by pesticides and the misery given the
loss of what little they have in the face of floods or droughts. And again, it is
the poorest who suffer the loss of their families, their homes and their own history.

SOLIDARITY OF THE "BELOW" AND THE HYPOCRISY OF THE "ABOVE"

We, those "from below" immediately organize the most diverse solidarity actions.

We ensured shelter for many under our roofs, we got food, clothing, clean water
and shelter. We would do much more if we were not subjected to a society that
robs and exploits us.

Meanwhile, the State does not present alternatives that guarantee the survival of
the people and the integral reparation of the rights of families that, simply,
lost everything.

The role of governors and mayors must be to plan and execute actions that are
able to stop the suffering of the people but do not and the intention is simple!
Profit from suffering and make electoral propaganda on top of it.

FOR A SUSTAINABLE MODEL THAT SERVES OUR REAL NEEDS!

Let us be incisive in remembering that it is necessary to destroy this model of
society that does not serve us - and has never served us!
Immediately, we must continue to build solidarity networks and also hold
governments and companies responsible for bearing the costs of rebuilding our
homes, our goods and our cities.

However, only in the construction of a STRONG PEOPLE will we be capable of new
models of city, of agrarian production and of mineral exploration that are not at
the service of profit, but of the well-being of all, equality and fraternity.

It is necessary to build a STRONG PEOPLE FOR POPULAR POWER!
