The Union of Syndicalists of Poland - the Union of Multiples in Warsaw organized
a protest on January 15, 2022 against the unpaid wages in Zabka at al.Jerozolimskie. ---- A worker injured by the employer, a single mother, wasemployed by him without any contract, dismissed without payment for days workedand left destitute before Christmas. The employer sold her off, avoided contactwith her, accused her of alleged thefts, and when she came to the store to getthe money she owed her, he called for security.Although the employer was not present during the picket, he received phone callsfrom the police and employees and was kept informed about the case. We arepleased to announce that the day after the picket, Zabka's agent fully paid theoutstanding wages to the employees' account! Once again, it turned out thatdirect actions bring results that one would not expect from long court cases.Unfortunately, Zabka stores remain a hotbed of pathology consisting in thesystematic robbing of employees of their salaries. We do not agree to this typeof behavior, open theft, economic violence against the weaker and saving money onemployees!
