The past covid-period was challenging for us all, but luckely we are able to look forward again to the next coming live concert of the Brussels Chopin Days!
It is none other than public's favourite Alessandro Deljavan that will make his appearance, and this with an impressive program entirely devoted to F. Chopin.
The Italian pianist has been our guest before, and that was everytime a mesmerizing experience.
As world-famous pianist Fou Ts'ong once said: "He is one of the most interesting pianists I heard in my entire life."
And there is no doubt that Alessandro Deljavan has a charismatic personality:
he sits on a very low chair, wears gloves while playing, and his interpretations are always marked by its great intensity.
It may not be a surprise that he has an impressive career.
He won prizes at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition or the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition, has a packed concert agenda with concerts all over the world, and released not less than 40 cd's, including Chopin's complete Etudes, Waltzes, and Mazurkas.
It is on Saturday 12 March that he will make his appearence in Brussels, with a splendid program.
He chooses te decidate the first part of his concert to Chopin's 14 Mazurkas.
One might perhaps say that everything where Chopin stands for is most reflected in his Mazurkas: these typical Polish dances contain fragility, poetry, humor, and an undeniable talent for melody.
The second part promises to be firy and virtuosic, with the Complete Scherzi.
Playing those four Scherzi is a tour de force for every pianist, where fury is interspered with melancholy and great lyricism.
All that in the hands of Alessandro Deljavan: that sounds as a match made in heaven.

La période de corona a été un défi pour nous tous. Fort heureusement, les choses s 'améliorent et nous pouvons, à nouveau, nous réjouir du prochain concert « en live » des Brussels Chopin Days.
C'est nul autre que le favori du public, Alessandro Deljavan qui fera son entrée dans un formidable programme entièrement consacré à F.Chopin.
Le pianiste italien a déjà été notre invité auparavant, et à chaque fois, ce fut un événement exceptionnel.
Comme l'a dit un jour le pianiste de notoriété mondiale, Fou Ts'ong :
« C'est l'un des pianistes les plus extraordinaires que j'aie jamais entendus dans ma vie ! ».
Il est indéniable qu'Alessandro Deljavan a une personnalité toute particulière : il s'assoit sur un tabouret très bas, porte constamment des gants pour jouer et ses interprétations sont toujours empreintes d'une grande intensité.
Le palmarès du jeune pianiste est impressionnant: des prix au Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, au Concours Gina Bachauer, un agenda chargé de concerts dans le monde entier, une discographie de pas moins de 40 CD's, dont l'intégrale des Etudes, Mazurka's et Valses de Chopin.
Le samedi 12 mars prochain, il sera à Bruxelles avec un tout nouveau programme, entièrement dédié à F. Chopin.
La première partie du concert est réservée à l'interprétation de 14 Mazurka's.
Tout ce que Chopin représente se retrouve peut-être le plus dans ses Mazurka's : ces danses polonaises contiennent de la fragilité, de la poésie, de l'humour et un talent inouï pour la mélodie.
La deuxième partie fait place à la virtuosité et contient les l'intégrale des Scherzi de Chopin.
Un véritable tour de force pour chaque pianiste : les Scherzi de Chopin sont fougueux et très virtuoses, mais cette fureur alterne avec une mélancolie et un fort beau lyrisme.
A l'évidence, tout à fait « dans les cordes » d'Alessandro Deljavan.

De afgelopen coronaperiode stelde ons allen voor uitdagingen, maar gelukkig is er beterschap in zicht en kunnen we weer uitkijken naar het volgende live concert van de Brussels Chopin Days.
Het is niemand minder dan publiekslieveling Alessandro Deljavan die zijn opwachting maakt, en dit met een impressionant programma, geheel gewijd aan F. Chopin.
De Italiaanse pianist was eerder al te gast, en telkens was dat een onvergetelijke belevenis.
Zoals wereldpianist Fou Ts'ong ooit over hem zei: "Hij is één van de meest bijzondere pianisten die ik ooit in mijn leven hoorde."
En dat Alessandro Deljavan een charismatische persoonlijkheid heeft staat buiten kijf: zo zit hij op een erg lage kruk, draagt steevast handschoenen tijdens het spelen, en zijn interpretaties getuigen altijd van een bijzonder grote intensiteit.
Het palmares van de jonge pianist oogt dan ook impressionant met prijzen op onder meer de Van Cliburn International Piano Competition en de Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition, een overvolle agenda met concerten over zowat de hele wereld, en een discografie van maar liefst 40 cd's, met onder meer Chopins integrale Etudes, Waltzen en Mazurka's.
