Every year, on March 8th in São Paulo, we have big street parties, organized
mainly by political parties. They say they fight for Brazilian women, but oursituation only gets worse and worse. There is nothing to celebrate that day. ----Will we celebrate the exploitation of our work? The oppression and fear we liveevery day of our lives? March 8th is a historic day of struggle for the women ofthe people, we must not forget the organization of women around the world, weneed to be inspired by women's struggles for the next battles to come. ---- Wewill remain strong to advance more and more in the organization of revolutionarysyndicalism, necessary for the end of the exploitation of women, and of theentire working class.Therefore, on March 6, 2022, we at SIGA-SP invited everyone tothe cinedebate of the movie "O Sal da Terra", from 1954. The event will be at theTremembé Culture House, at 2 pm.We will watch the film that tells the story of women, mostly mothers, whofought to win a strike, and overcome machismo, even within theworkers' union.The film tells a true story of the 50s, where we can observe many elementsof patriarchy in everyday life, which unfortunately, we still witness today. Weencouragediscussion to advance the issue of working women in the country.Forward the struggle of women!
