the authorities' response to these crises is very similar: strengthening the
repressive and control apparatus, militarization, dehumanization, incitement to
hatred, persecution of public resistance and the destruction of human lives. The
rulers themselves are aware that they cannot guarantee people's health or
security, let alone prosperity in the existing system. That is why they are
increasingly resorting to pure violence and other authoritarian methods to retain
power.

Of all crises, war is the one that most dehumanizes life and subjugates it to
death and suffering. In an increasingly tense situation of capitalist
competition, new wars are breaking out on the outskirts of powerful economic
centers and in resource-rich parts of the world. After Yugoslavia, Afghanistan,
Iraq, Syria, Palestine and many other parts of the world, the war broke out in
Ukraine.

The war in Ukraine is not between the people, but between the great structures of
capitalist domination. But only people die in it. Weapons, the military industry
and military alliances are the problem, not the solution. That is why we reject
all forms of the military apparatus. Our solidarity cannot be with the states,
their armies and their flags, which are now testing their weapons in Ukraine, nor
with the winners of the military-industrial complex, who are already rubbing
their hands for stunning new deals. Our boundless solidarity is with all people
who suffer on both sides of the front line. We stand in solidarity with all those
who raise their voices against the war and with those who do not make their own
bodies available to the military machine and who themselves are the object of
repression precisely because of their resistance. And they, like us, did not want
war, they did not seek it, but they became her captives. We all feel their pain,
which we may soon experience in a very personal way.

The war is being fought not only with bombs and tanks and not only on Ukrainian
territory. Much of it is conducted in societies seemingly safely removed from the
theaters of war. This takes the form of arms production and trafficking, the
promotion of nationalism, propaganda, repression, the spread of hatred, racism
and the selective treatment of war victims. To reject war means to reject all
forms in which it takes place.

In conditions of war, it is important to create a space of powerless resistance
against everything that allows and maintains it. This means, above all, a
self-organized exchange of information, views and organization in order to offer
practical solidarity to all those who need it in this difficult situation.

Against imperialism and any nationalism!
