Hola ,
My name is Jahira and I'm an LGBT+ activist from Colombia. I can't tell you enough about how much All Out's training program changed my life.
As a trans woman living in Colombia – one of the world's most deadly countries for trans folks – simply knowing programs like these exist helps to inspire and motivate me and the LGBT+ community.
And, as an activist, All Out's training program – which relies entirely on donations from people like you – provides people like me 🏳️🌈 with the tools to create a safer tomorrow.
That's why I say this program changed my life.
Will you sponsor an activist's training spot, so they can have the same experience I got to have?
Let me tell you a bit about how these training programs actually work.
The folks leading the trainings showed us extremely valuable tools. I learned how to create fundraising campaigns to help trans women living in vulnerable situations, and how to leverage social media to engage with my followers and supporters.
For me, the most important part of the program was that it gave me the chance to get to know other activists – and what they're working on – in places all over the world. It gave me hope as I learned about all the ways people like me are advancing and defending LGBT+ rights.
Another important aspect of the program is the team environment. It was super useful for brainstorming campaign ideas and making plans for the future. The program and the people I was learning with helped me realize how I could create campaigns and other activities to give visibility to trans women all over Colombia.
I think that's the part that stuck with me the most: I'm not alone in this fight, and there are other people just like me fighting for a beautiful future where LGBT+ people are respected and protected.
Now, you can understand why I'll forever be grateful to All Out and the people who make these training programs possible, and why I'm asking for your support.
This year, All Out wants to go even more all out by expanding their training programs. They plan to run seven trainings for at least 85 LGBT+ activists around the world! And, just like the previous trainings, All Out does not charge a single cent from participants in order to make sure no deserving and amazing activists are left out.
But to make that a reality – they need your help!
Abrazos, Jahira LGBT+ Activist in Colombia (she/her)
P.S. The first 150 people to donate $20 or more will receive a free pass to stream the new film Firebird, as All Out's gift to you!
