Dear friends,
The first pride was a riot. When Sylvia Rivera threw the first bricks at the Stonewall Inn, she was protesting state violence against queer people, especially queer people of color.
While we've made progress, in 2022, many people in our LGBT+ community are still fighting for the their lives. Our community still faces horrendous, unexplainable violence, as we saw this past weekend, with the tragic shooting at an LGBT+ night club in Oslo, Norway.
That’s why All Out exists – to fight for the safety and dignity of LGBT+ lives. Today is International Pride Day, I want to tell you about the amazing work our donors supported this past year that I'm so proud of – and how you can keep it going in the months ahead.
February
In February, as the world watched Russia's military invade and occupy it's neighbor Ukraine, All Out sprang into action with an emergency fundraiser and became the first organization to transfer financial support to LGBT+ partners in Ukraine, Poland, and Romania.
May
The Casa Frida LGBT+ Shelter planned for Tapachula, Mexico, near the Guatemalan border, will be the first shelter of its kind to cater to LGBT+ people escaping persecution in Central America. In May, All Out donors from around the world collectively donated to make sure it gets built.
Make your first gift to All Out today and help us make more of these campaigns possible.
Year Round
I'm also very proud of All Out's digital activism training program, which provides free mobilization and campaign training for LGBT+ activists in Latin America and Africa. We'll be hosting our first training in Southern Africa, and aim to train at least 85 activists worldwide.
You can help support this amazing work today with a donation to All Out.

What's next?
Following the U.S. Supreme Court’s reversal of reproductive choice and freedom for millions of Americans this week, we’re ready to act in solidarity with U.S. groups to resist this decision and prevent any further anti-democratic threats to human rights, especially those of LGBT+ people.
And we have plans for so much more. This year's World Cup will be held in homophobic Qatar where being gay is still illegal, and we plan to hold FIFA accountable. Meanwhile, we're continuing to investigate and fight against dangerous conversion therapy practices in Colombia, Brazil, and throughout Latin America.
Make your first gift today to support more global actions, more events for our community and more opportunities to make change, because as Marsha P. Johnson once said, "You never completely have your rights, one person, until you all have your rights."
In solidarity,
MattExecutive Director(he/him)
