 Boris M. Díaz is a Cuban companion, member of the libertarian Atelier Alfredo

López and of the ABRA libertarian social center and library. On the first
anniversary of the protests that rocked Cuba on July 11, 2021, Boris was among
the victims of police intimidation and the military operation set up by the Cuban
dictatorship. It is worth mentioning that Boris suffers from muscle atrophy and
lives in a wheelchair, which highlights the sordid and utter cowardice of a
fascist state whose sole purpose now is to perpetuate itself in power. We
reproduce here the denunciation broadcast by Boris on social media on July 17,
2022. ---- "On July 11, my home, the ABRA Social Center, was placed under
surveillance by two State Security agents and I received an almost personal visit
from Agent Joel, also publicly known as Jordan, whom I treated as normally as
possible (even though he is a prevaricating policeman, I refuse to dehumanize him
out of hand). I won't deny that he was kind, even cordial, which I returned to
him as a good host by inviting him for coffee, which he never accepted. I guess
he was letting me know his presence in the neighborhood, like any gangster in a
movie does with his victim. He made a speech on honor, it followed from my
observation that he practiced judo, which he acknowledged by declaring that he
was a black belt. He also insisted that he had never abused anyone (which was
contradicted by several testimonies, including a video), at which point I
couldn't help but smile and to ask him if he was serious about starting a
friendship with a lie. In all of this, my intention was to make the following
points clear:

1. The Department of State Security is responsible for the political crisis that
the country is going through due to the repressive actions implemented by the
department against any form of resistance.

2. If he had continued to persecute people close to me, I would have taken it as
indirect aggression.

The persecution of Leo* by Joel/Jordan has reached the level of public
vilification in his neighborhood, with the aim of depriving him of the solidarity
of the community and making him vulnerable to assaults which may not be
accidental and which, committed by a person wearing a uniform constitute a crime.
This is what happened today[July 17]. I hold the security department responsible
for any damage caused to Leo[Leonardo was hit by a seemingly drunk stranger with
an iron bar], or any other friend of mine. I hold Joel/Jordan responsible. I do
not ask for punishment, but for the disclosure of the facts so that such a
cowardly action cannot continue.
