Collective was invited to the magnificent library in the village of
Saint-Valérien, near Rimouski, to launch the Children's Anarchist Dictionary, a
work self-produced and distributed by the Collective. Not without astonishment,
she found herself in front of a room filled with the energy of about twenty
children with their parents or companions who were quite sympathetic to our
ideas. Since its purpose is to nurture curiosity and critical thinking, the book
takes on its full relevance during such activities. With the children and adults
present, we were able to initiate various reflections and discussions of a more
philosophical nature, avoiding proselytism and indoctrination. The children have
clearly demonstrated their ability to think and interpret concepts and images in
their own way, even in a divergent way in the face of the dominant modes of
thought. This is something that we believe should be encouraged and supported. In
short, a very warm welcome and a lot of brilliant discussions, our delegation
loved this event and we hope to be able to collaborate with the people we met in
other militant initiatives.

The purpose of our launches is not the sale. We are a collective of militants
involved in the struggles and the social establishment of anarchism. The goals of
these events are to break the isolation that we can sometimes feel in our
communities, whether as parents or activists, to share our different experiences,
to be inspired and to network. For example, we received from a participant a few
copies of the French translation of a zine dealing with the reality of activists
in the region (we will perhaps talk about it in a future article). On site, the
Mothers at the Front group was also present and its activists held a workshop to
make bibs for the climate demonstration. At least one more launch of the
Children's Anarchist Dictionary is in the works in October, this time in Quebec
