They plan and support coups d'état, allying themselves with the most ferocious
dictators, who quit when they are no longer comfortable: Augusto Pinochet, Manuel
Noriega, Jorge Rafael Videla. They arm terrorists when they turn their attention
to their enemies. They systematically spy on their allies. They set up secret
military and espionage structures within allied countries
to control their internal politics[1].

The bad guys are always the others

"Empire of evil", "rogue states" and others are the kind epithets that US
administrations give to their adversaries. In war (even the economic one) we do
not exchange caresses and bad faith is a constant weapon. The USA, however, excel
in this practice, starting from the belief that they are always and in any case
on the right side, or at least this they try to make others believe. A State that
carries out or promotes terrorism is, precisely, a "rogue State" included in
their special black list[2]only if it is not their ally or protected; in this
second case every action, even the most heinous, passes over in silence; at the
most, there is some minor rebuff from the United States. For the "bad guys" there
are economic sanctions, embargoes on goods (even life-saving ones, such as
medicines), war and destruction. Their scales of justice are highly unbalanced,
all hanging on one side. The motto "In God we trust" is written on the back of
the US banknotes, but their approach to foreign policy does not seem to respond
to any religious belief or some ethical principle, but only to the pursuit of the
greatest possible interest and profit; it is not the Americans who conform to the

The american way of life

Most citizens take pride in their lifestyle. So proud that she believes that
other peoples should also benefit from their choices of social customs, even at

country live on the margins of information and nurture a sovereign disinterest in
education, culture, awareness of their social role, linked to the communications
that the local media provide about the life and events of the small district they
serve.

The spirit of the frontier

The founding myth of the self-proclaimed Republic of the United States of America
is the epic of the frontier in the period of the extension to the west of the
territories "reclaimed" by the presence of the natives. An epic for the invaders,
a holocaust for the invaded. On it, mythologized by Hollywood films, customs,
costumes, institutional forms, mental habits, stereotypes of all kinds have
