Inflation and energy prices are an acute problem. But the long-term problem isthe capitalist regime itself. Download, print and distribute the September issueof the A3 wall newspaper! ---- The regime we live in is called bourgeoisdemocracy. What exactly does that mean? It is not so difficult to explain withreference to the two levels of this concept. ---- The economic doctrine of such aregime is capitalism. This means the economic management of a society built onsocial inequality. That inequality means that a narrow group of privileged peopleown capital, and the rest of society does not. The capitalist fairy tale saysthat with hard work you can get from the masses of the underprivileged to theelite club of the richest. Capitalist practice, on the other hand, says thatdiligent and honest work is only for the dull masses, which are only good formultiplying the wealth of those at the top day after day.The political superstructure of such an economic establishment is parliamentary(bourgeois) democracy. It consists in the fact that with the help of the state, capitalism is kept running, people are once in a while given the false feelingthat they can decide on something, during so-called elections. But thefundamental rule of such elections is the preservation of social inequality andcapitalist relations, where some own almost everything and others can just selltheir hands, brains or bodies. The task of the state in capitalism (as it wasunder the previous regime, which can be characterized as state capitalism) is tokeep the masses of the underprivileged in a state of numbness and faith in theexisting (immutable) order. For the economic elite, and therefore also for thepolitical elite, which usually (either intentionally or because they can't dootherwise) do the former some kind of service, it is very disturbing if theunderprivileged masses claim their share of the social wealth. One of the tools that was introduced within the capitalist regime supervised bythe state is the so-called social peace. Which is supposed to be a state wherethe capitalist accumulation of profits is ensured to run smoothly and at the sametime those who create these profits for the capitalists with their work can atleast have a dignified life ensured in some way - i.e. at least that they willnot live in uncertainty and that various rescue programs will work. Such socialpeace is then cooked together by representatives of employers, the state and theleadership of the largest trade unions. So much for a bit of theory and now to the unhappy reality of these days. Whilethe top economic elites are recalculating their profits, the masses of theunderprivileged are acutely facing a rather insane assault on their wallets. Asif the rising rent prices were not enough, regardless of the impossibility ofmost people to buy their own housing. (But what to expect if apartments are notunderstood in capitalism as a means to satisfy one of the basic human needs, butas an opportunity for investment.) Currently, most of us are facing a sharpincrease in energy prices. You probably don't need to imagine what this means ina society where a large part of households do not have any major savings.Likewise, there is no general adjustment of wages, pensions and variousallowances corresponding to inflation, which affects more and more goods andservices. As anarchists, we know that elections will not change anything. As we like torepeat: If they really could change something fundamental, they would have beenbanned a long time ago. This is already one of the reasons why we know that thebiggest nonsense is to listen to various political hochstaplers, who maycriticize the political and economic elites, but their goal is to get their ownshare of power, if they themselves are no longer among those elites (how can weseen in politicians à la Trump, Babis or their immortal predecessor Berlusconi). If they do not reject capitalism as such, as well as the centralization of power, then they represent no real change and are just (often somewhat browner)variations on the same theme. If we were to look back in non-revolutionary times for some force that, althoughit does not bring about any real change, but at least tries to get as much aspossible for the mass of workers, then we must turn our gaze towards the tradeunions. They called a Demonstration Against Poverty in Prague on October 8. Asanarchists, we decided to support her. We can hope that it will not just be aboutreleasing the valve of angry workers and the campaign of the chairman of theCMKOS as part of his candidacy for the presidency. But we are not so naive as toharbor false hopes, after all we have been walking around the world for some time. The real hope will come when the working people realize both the power they have, the fact that they are not defenseless, and then that if they want, no one willbuy castles and haciendas abroad for their labor while they squat desperately atthe bottom of the wallet . And that's why we call out: Social wealth belongs toeveryone!
