was then transferred to a hospital, where she was in a coma for three days.
Finally, she breathed her last on 16/9/2022. The Iranian regime immediately tried
to cover up the state murder, blackmailing medical personnel into giving false
causes of death to Mahsha Amini's parents (that she had heart problems and
epilepsy), provoking their expected outrage. Accordingly, he sought to silence
eyewitnesses and destroy evidence (by confiscating cell phones), censored social
media, and directed the press and media, which are fully controlled by the
regime, to misinform and mislead public opinion.

Fortunately, however, this state crime was not successfully buried (as it
probably is on a regular basis). As soon as the killing of Mahsha Amini by the
police authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran became known, violent and mass
protests spontaneously broke out throughout the Iranian territory, which continue
unabated until the moment of this writing. Showing unparalleled courage and
determination, women were and are the core and vanguard of this rebellion (a
rebellion that has filled us all with awe, emotion and admiration). After all,
they are the most oppressed subject in theocratic Iran. In short, women in Iran
are concubines of men and religious priests. The killing of Mahsa Amini reflects
exactly this violent devaluation of women's lives. In the face of Mahsha Amini,
every rebellious woman in Iran sees herself. Therefore, the evolving uprising in
Iran, led spontaneously by women, is directed against patriarchy and theocratic
despotism, which debase women's lives and are central pillars of the ruling
regime. The images of women cutting their hair, throwing away and burning their
headscarves in public are symbolic images of the utmost importance in their
effort to rise up against gender oppression. On the women's side are also men,
workers and students. Strikes have already been organized in workplaces and
abstinence from attending courses in university institutions.

The killing of Mahsha Amini appears to have been the spark that ignited the
flames of social anger in Iran. The rage of a society that suffered mass
executions, beatings, torture and then was oppressed, restricted, hunted and
trampled by the rise of the theocratic regime in 1979. It set in motion the
generalized social discontent of a people plagued by poverty and deprivation. ,
unemployment, the entanglement and corruption of
political-economic-religious-military circles, the pervasive conservatism and
exanderapodism associated with the theocratic nature of the regime. The
massiveness of the demonstrations, their unyielding nature, the intense anger and
the dynamic conflicts are shaking the foundations of the theocratic regime. The
government is threatened, that's why it reacts mercilessly, carrying out numerous
arrests and "throwing in the cold". Dozens are dead and thousands are arrested
and injured in the demonstrations. Regime and parastatal forces and the entire
state apparatus declare that they will crush those who attempt to destabilize the
order of the Islamic Republic of Iran. President Raisi is threatening to bring
the army into the streets, as he did in 2019, when he murdered 1,500 people
protesting against inflation, austerity and poverty.

The rebel women and struggling people of Iran are not alone. Patriarchy and
religion, as instruments and ideological expressions of sovereignty, divide
everywhere those who are at the base of the social pyramid, constituting a brake
for social and class emancipation. Therefore, in many parts of the world,
rallies, demonstrations and protests are held in support and solidarity with the
struggle of women in Iran. The hypocritical voices of all sorts of opportunists
not only do not move us, they infuriate us.   The representatives of the
Euro-Atlantic imperialist axis, who are now selfishly and disingenuously touting
their support for the social-women's uprising in Iran, are only doing so because
they see that the resulting political instability can weaken a power that is
strategically allied to Russia, in order to to serve their own agendas. At the
same time, of course, they turn a deaf ear to the prohibition or questioning of
women's right to abortion (see USA, Poland, Argentina, etc.) or whistle
indifferently to the unimaginable devaluation and oppression of women in Saudi
Arabia, with which they cooperate in all areas. Alongside these "crowns" of
supposed sensitivity, of course, the US and Iran are negotiating the JCPOA
nuclear program, under which Iran agreed to curtail its nuclear program in
exchange for the lifting of US sanctions and embargo (if and the US had
unilaterally withdrawn from the negotiations in 2018 during Trump's presidency).
Under the background of the stake of human and especially female dignity, the
imperialists carry out their own bargains at the expense of the peoples.

Correspondingly, in Greece the state and capitalist elites, who are now
interested in the rights of Iranian women, are passing laws that hand over
custody of children to abusive fathers, are pushing in the direction of
acquitting rapists, while various representatives of the clergy are bluntly
preaching misogyny, women are held hostage in abusive environments with the
silence and complicity of those around them, femicides are increasing alarmingly
and the pervasive wash of sexism is a daily occurrence. After all, their
hypocrisy is a given, as we all know that in the face of these women who revolt
today in Iran, being clearly right on their side, tomorrow the Greek state with
its anti-immigration policy of closed borders, of illegal deportations, the
concentration camps, the watery graves in the Aegean and the
xenophobic/Islamophobic, conservative emos will stand as archenemies. That is why
we must at every opportunity blast bourgeois "humanism", philanthropy motivated
by deeper political and economic interests and contrast class and
internationalist solidarity, as that horizontal and unguarded relationship of
mutual aid based on common material interests, between of the broad social
majority oppressed by the power of states and capitalists. Likewise, moving along
the same axes, we must fight with the same vigor the growth of social extremism,
racism and intolerance.

The struggle for women's emancipation and self-determination is an integral part
of the struggle for universal human emancipation. It is an organic part of the
struggle against the state and capital. Let us therefore join our voices with the
women who struggle in Iran, to uproot patriarchy and sexism from our lives and
our relationships, recognizing that they are reproduced as tools of enslavement
and fragmentation of those from below by power and capitalism .
