to listen to us, to understand our experiences, to shout together our anger andour desires! * ---- FURIOS3: THE TIDE RISES ---- FOR the 'FREE SAFE AND FREEABORTION ---- On September 28th we return to the squares all over Italy for theinternational day for free, safe and free abortion because in this politicalscenario, between wars, economic crisis, climate and electoral campaign, the ourbodies continue to be a battlefield. ---- Fighting for the freedom to have anabortion means for us to be able to choose over our bodies and our lives, andagainst all the conditions that prevent us from doing so. ---- Abortion attacksand restrictions are direct attacks on women, pregnant people, migrants andpeople without income. We know that violence is more brutal on the bodies ofthose who live in a region where the objection rate is very high and have noincome to move, on the bodies of those with a non-conforming gender identity andon the bodies of escape from war.We are furious3 because it is not possible to have a safe abortion all over theworld and this means death for millions of people (22 million a year).In Italy, law 194, which regulates access to abortion, allows conscientiousobjection by medical staff, which in our country reaches almost 70%. The publiccounseling centers have been progressively reduced from the 1970s to today: theyare now much less than one counseling center for every 20,000 inhabitants. We donot invest in sexual education and affectivity and free contraception. When wedecide to have an abortion, we are stigmatized3 and blamed3 and the path toaccess the IVG becomes more difficult. We strongly claim that we do not regrethaving an abortion and that we will continue to do so.We are furious because our freedom of choice is under attack even more by twentyreactionaries blowing from the United States, Hungary, Poland, Malta. Also inItaly we are witnessing a relaunch of the triad "God, homeland and family",declined in the most sexist, racist, homolesbobitransphobic and habilitic forms,which imposes rigid gender roles and assigns women the task of reproduction andthe growth of the white nation, patriarchal and heterosexual.We are furious3 because the attack on abortion is strengthened in a time ofeconomic and social crisis, exacerbated by the consequences of a war that reduceswages with inflation, feeds the energy crisis, impoverishes us and makes us moreblackmailable. We take to the streets because this crisis is accompanied by anincessant increase in femicides, rapes, male violence against women andhomolesbobitransphobic violence, racist violence.We will be in the square three days after the elections because we do not want aconservative patriarchy, and we are not satisfied with a democratic patriarchy.The conservative right exploits violence against women to carry out racistpolicies and wants to strengthen control over our bodies and our sexuality. Itimposes on us maternity and nursing work in exchange for crumbs, while it pushesus to work underpaid, promising tax relief to Confindustria. Democrats promisecivil rights and liberties in exchange for policies that continue to worsen ourliving conditions.We want to be free to choose, and therefore we reject these bogus alternatives.We want to fight to put an end to patriarchal, racist, colonial,homolesbobitransphobic, enabler and classist violence that finds its highestexpression in war and its consequences.We want to be alive and free.We want to be alive and free, which is why we cannot accept the lack of a welfarestateWe want to be alive and free, so we want a self-determination incomeWe want to be alive and free, which is why we cannot accept war and its consequencesWe want to be alive and free, which is why we want an unconditional residence permitWe want to be alive and free3, which is why we want more funding for counselingcenters, anti-violence centers, sex education in schools and free contraceptionWe want to be alive and free, which is why we want a free, safe and free abortionWe want to be alive and free, which is why we want much more than 194.We want the freedom to decide on our body, we want attention to life to beattention to self-determination for all people.We support the medical and nursing staff who are tenaciously trying to stem thedifficulties caused by the high rate of objection. We support all individuals andorganizations that provide information, access to abortion pills and abortionassistance services.
