camping of the CNT-AIT. It is an opportunity to meet in a friendly atmosphere to
meet companions from different regions or countries and to experience together a
little of our creative utopia: reflections, leisure, cultural outings, sports
activities.... As we see fit, in self-management. ---- Companions of the CNT-AIT
of Figueres in Spain had informed us of the conflict which opposes them to the

companion who had had the bad taste to dare to defy his power by creating a union
section of the CNT-AIT and by claiming such extraordinary things as having an
employment contract in good and due form, to work regular hours and to be paid
for overtime. It was too much for the little wren of the campsite who, in
addition to reigning over his business, is the mayor of the village, and
therefore in this capacity is responsible for giving the authorization to operate
the campsite and verifying that he respects all health, environmental and social
regulations... Accustomed to being judge and party and never contradicting, the
boss therefore resented being reminded of his most basic obligations and harassed
our companion, going so far as to expel him manu militari of the bungalow which
served as his dwelling.
During one of the campers' GA, companions proposed to do a symbolic action of
solidarity, since there is a campsite of the same chain not far from where we
are. Appointment was given in the morning - said to those interested to carry out
a banner and an action. A DIY workshop improvised for the occasion made it
possible to create a magnificent banner on which we read "Yelloh village Coléra =
exploiters". We were photocopied some leaflets in French and also in Dutch
(because by asking on the internet, we learned that many of the campers came from
the "flat countries"). By the way, a big thank you to the friends of the CNT-AIT
across the border who had translated the leaflet for us! This is internationalism

Then the small group went in front of the campsite, splitting in two to cover
each of the two entrances: while the first group unfurled the banner, the second
went up the path along the campsite, distributing leaflets. The campers were not
hostile to our approach, some spontaneously asking for information and another
even congratulating us saying that it was good to see that the unions were
concerned about the working conditions of the employees. We barely had time to
distribute a few leaflets to the campers entering and to unfurl the banner at the
main entrance, when we saw the campsite manager arrive, distraught. Customers had
informed him that there were problems at the campsite and that a demonstration
was organized. We told him that our action today was in fact aimed at the Colera
site, which was part of the same chain as his campsite. He replied that his
campsite was not involved in the situation, which is true - but we pointed out to
him that the behavior of the owner of the Colera campsite - in addition to the
fact that he exploited and mistreated his employees - harmed the brand image of
all the Yelloh villages through his authoritarian behaviour.

We invited him to forward the information to the head office of the parent
company. After staying the time we had decided, we left the camp. This kind of
small action does not require large means and is within everyone's reach.
International companies are very concerned about their brand image, so this kind
of action, if they multiply, can have a significant leverage effect. If you also
