To prevent closure of the Fallen Angels shelter in South Africa, and ensure proper medical care and full bellies for the dogs and cats in its care - we NEED YOUR HELP TODAY!

Please donate now

Dear,

Our partner Fallen Angels does wonderful work in some of South Africa’s poorest and most dangerous areas, places where animals’ lives mean absolutely nothing. Fallen Angels rescues horribly abused dogs, treats them and provides shelter. Countless dogs owe their lives to their efforts.

The work Fallen Angels does is truly commendable and so when they came to us with distressing news, we immediately knew we had to help. But to help them, we need your support.
Please donate now

Fallen Angels is in terrible financial trouble. South Africa’s dire economic state has left people barely able to look after themselves, let alone the animals born into poverty around them.

One result is that more and more people are abandoning their pets. Around 200 dogs and cats live at the Fallen Angels shelter, and recently, 18 previously adopted dogs were returned in just one week because the owners said they could no longer afford to look after them.

Can you imagine being adopted after weeks, months (or even years) from a shelter, only to be brought back because your new family couldn’t afford to keep you? If it is upsetting to you, just imagine how shattered the poor animal must feel! Some of them had been with their families for up to SIX YEARS! It is beyond devastating.

The situation for animals in South Africa is worse than ever: fewer adoptionsmore abandonment and abuseless food and not enough shelter. Animals are struggling as you read this and suffering badly! Please, will you help?
Please donate now
Fallen Angels is struggling to cope with the soaring number of animals in its care and the ever-declining rate of donations and adoptions. It is a desperate situation, and Fallen Angels now faces the very real possibility of closure. This would be a DISASTER for the animals in its care!
To make matters worse, many of the animals who Fallen Angels rescues are in desperate need of medical attention. Their health may be ignored; many come in with long-standing issues that require expensive treatment or multiple surgeries. They have been neglected, abused and starved. They need so much care.
Without help, hundreds of dogs (and cats!) might well find themselves back on the streets with no hope. They would not last very long. We cannot stand by and let them die.
We already help Fallen Angels financially but in these desperate times, we must do more. If we can raise $10,000 (£8,670), we can help the shelter get on top of its medical bills. By donating, you help ease the terrible financial pressure on Fallen Angels.

Some of Fallen Angels' animals have never had a home! Please donate today toward their care and help bring happiness to the many animals who just want to love and be loved.

P.S.We keep thinking about the tragic animals who are returned to the shelter. It must be so confusing and traumatic for them to be wrenched from their warm beds and families to be returned to noisy shelter life. They must think they’ve done something wrong, and it simply breaks our heartsWe must help themYou can help by donating right now. The animals will be so deeply appreciative of your kindness.
