 The successive crises of the state-capitalist system are not the result of random

events but arise from its very contradictions caused by the incurable conflict
imposed by its basic principle, the exploitation and oppression of man by man.
Political and economic elites instrumentalize crises so that the system can
perpetuate its existence, increase its profits, expand its power, and deepen its
dominance over societies and nature. Thus, in all the length and breadth of the
earth, launches an all-out attack against the peoples. ---- The outbreak of war
in Ukraine after Russia's military invasion is the latest event to highlight the
deep rot of the state-capitalist system that no longer has anything to promise
those at the bottom beyond war, refugees, disease, poverty , impoverishment,
control and subjugation. The sharpening of intra-imperialist rivalries for the
dominance of wealth-producing sources, for their management and the expansion of
the "sphere of influence" of each power bloc combined with the constant desire of
states and bosses to maximize their power and profits have, on the other hand
once, resulting in the establishment of a nightmarish reality for the lower
social segments of the entire world. First of all for the peoples who are
experiencing the horrors of war and refugees and immediately after for all the
rest who accept both the consequences of the looting of every field of provision
of the basic social goods for survival and the further tightening of control,
surveillance, repression and the conditions of exploitation and oppression.

Today the far-right political management accelerates the anti-social processes of
restructuring and the destruction of the social base by the deprivation of
necessary social goods, leading more and more parts of society to further
impoverishment, targeting every manifestation of social life, intensifying
exclusions and devaluing basic social needs, health, education, housing, food,
transportation. The acceleration of the anti-social restructuring processes, with
the aim of the complete transformation of society, is reflected on the one hand
in the passing and promotion of a series of bills which as a common denominator
have the increase of impoverishment to those from below and on the other hand in
the strengthening of the legal arsenal of of the state and in the sharpening of
the repressive attack against those who put up barriers to the advance of the
brutality of the state and capital.

The state and capitalist attack on the great social majority is escalating from
the passing of the law for the curtailment of demonstrations, the abolition of
the 8-hour shift and the attack on the right to strike, the liberalization of
layoffs to the absolute depreciation of the good of public health, the
educational restructuring of blockades, subjugation and repression. While at the
same time the state repressive staffs aim to strike the world that stands up
against state and capitalist brutality and furiously suppress any militant
activity that attempts to demonstrate the rotten world of power and overthrow it.
 From the murderous attack on the 3rd Freedom Festival of Occupied Spaces and
Collectives within the AUTH, the beating of labor and strike movements, such as
at the Malamatina factory in Thessaloniki, the arrests and beatings by the
repression forces that have camped in parks, squares, hills and universities to
the invasions and evacuations of anarchist and anti-authoritarian occupiers, the
continuous and savage beatings of the demonstrations in central Athens and the
fabricated indictments and prosecutions of anarchist activists.

49 years later, the story with the uprising at the Polytechnic did not end in
1973, as its content and projects do not belong to the past as the initiators of
the party slogan would like and propagated: EAM ELAS POLYTECHNIO. On the
contrary, it belongs to the future as it initiated a long series of
mobilizations, uprisings and clashes of the most radical sections of society and
especially the youth. The spirit of November will prove inexhaustible, always
remaining alive despite the long-running operation of distortion and piracy by
those who exploited the uprising to build a mythical, blood-stained altar of
democracy as the ideological foundation of post-revolutionary power. The
Polytechnic will not be the indisputable sanctified myth of power and democracy
as its lackeys would like, but a point of reference for a rebellion that
sometimes erupts and sometimes lurks and that even today has not been suppressed.

Thus, this year's commemoration and resistance mobilizations are for us a
political and cinematic opportunity to honor the historical memory of the
Polytechnic uprising in the streets and to demonstrate against the dominant
narrative that it was not just a democratic uprising against the dictatorship. It
was a rebellion, which continues to remain an open wound for the economic and
political bosses and a point of reference for the social and class struggles
developing today against state terrorism and capitalist brutality. It is yet
another opportunity to take to the streets as the Polytechnic and its projects
continue to inspire us, in the face of repression's attempt to create a climate
of terror with policing, auras, chemicals, beatings and arrests.

In the face of modern totalitarianism, let us once again put forward dignity,
resistance, and solidarity. Against the devaluation of our lives, impoverishment
and oppression, against wars and nationalism, against states and bosses who
oppress our lives to intensify social and class struggles. Let us all stand
together on the road and struggles of social resistance and class solidarity. To
fight collectively and from below against our oppressors, to strengthen and guard
the social and class resistances that are the target of repression and to
organize new ones. Without having any illusions about the role of institutions,
without offering any consent to the management of our lives, without taking a
single step back from what we have conquered and which are constantly at stake
and making the spaces where we work, study and live centers of resistance and
match. In the face of war, which is the only way of salvation for the state and
capitalist system, in the face of the plan to exterminate the exploited and the
oppressed, in the face of nationalism, fascism and imperialism, the only hope is
international solidarity between the peoples, the organized counterattack of the
below. Only the total overthrow of the state and capitalism, the social
expropriation of the wealth that we ourselves produce and wean off a caste of
rulers and the organization of the struggle for Social Revolution for a world of
common ownership, peace, solidarity and freedom can justify the desires and the
real needs of the oppressed and exploited.
