We call on everyone who is not indifferent to the fate of refugees and war
refugees from Ukraine to protest against attempts to resettle them! ----Come onThursday (November 17) at 13.00 to the Provincial Office (Al. Niepodleglosci16/18) and express your objection! ---- People in the most difficult lifesituation were accommodated in the Ikar Hotel - the disabled, chronically ill(including oncological), caring for dependents, mothers with newborns, pregnantwomen, pensioners. As a result of resettlement, they will lose the possibility ofregular medical care and rehabilitation. ---- Some of the disabled childrenmanaged to be placed in Special School No. 101, where they can integrate and berehabilitated. In small towns where refugees are planned to be located, there areno such possibilities. Children will remain at home without specialist support,and their carers will be prevented from working.43 children attend school (another 15 go to kindergartens and nurseries) - theywill be forced to stop learning during it and adapt to new conditions, which isparticularly difficult in the case of children affected by war trauma.Many adults will lose their jobs.During the protest, residents of the Ikar Hotel, who are threatened withdisplacement, will hand over a petition to the voivode, which reads, among others:"Changing our place of residence and being displaced from Poznan will meanwasting all the effort we have put into integration so far and will lead to oursocial and economic exclusion. We found a job, our children go to Polish schools,some of us took up post-secondary education to learn Polish and get a job, wesupport each other in caring duties. We felt that the worst was behind us, wewere already getting back on our feet, when suddenly we were informed that we hadto leave it all and start again in a new place. We no longer have the strength toadapt to new conditions. Our children live in constant anxiety anyway and needstability.
