The businessman's reaction to the mobilizations was a cascade of complaints, most

processing of an appeal before the Supreme Court, with a very harsh sentence,
confirmed by the Provincial Court, in which the six of Xixón are sentenced to
prison terms of imprisonment of three and a half years, in addition to the
payment of compensation of €150,000, for crimes of serious coercion, threats and
obstruction of justice.

That is why we are here today, in the streets, to denounce that union activity,
which did not even require the intervention of the police, can lead to the
imprisonment of six unionists, truncating their lives, for having supported,
comforted and helped a worker woman.

We cannot allow civil rights, freedom of expression and demonstration to be
attacked. The seriousness of the sentences is a direct attack on any form of
social protest that continues to bet on the presence in the street as a means of
defending rights. They want us alone and submissive; but they will find us united
and combative.

Faced with this repressive situation that affects us all and that can create a
dangerous precedent, our greatest defense is solidarity, there are already many
associations, unions and groups that have adhered to the manifesto of support in
defense of trade union freedoms, more of 171 organizations, and we hope to keep
adding.

Unionism is not a crime, and that is why we mobilize. The CNT calls on all
citizens and the social, neighborhood and union fabric of our cities and towns to
assume as their own the defense of "Las Seis de La Suiza" and to participate in
the day of mobilizations this coming November 19 in support to the defendants of
CNT Xixón.
