 The Anarchist Federation wishes itself and its readers as much success as

possible in their efforts for a freer and more socially just world. ---- Our
"péefko" somewhat parodies the "advertisement" for a happy life from the time of
economic prosperity. Our desire is an "anarchist idyll" - a contented personal
life made possible by the existence of a society based on the principles of
freedom, political and economic self-government, equality (i.e. social justice),
mutual aid and solidarity. ---- It is precisely these principles, individual and
collective emancipation, that are written about in our publication Anarchism for
Beginners . This year, we would like to make it a slightly broader project and
turn it into a virtual world with links to other texts that relate to individual
chapters, audio versions and a guide to specific collectives and projects.

However, this does not mean that we will retreat from printed publications. On
the contrary, in 2023, despite the considerable increase in the cost of
publishing publications, we are going to publish several books and brochures
within the framework of the AF Publishing House - if we were to reveal our
intentions a little, then know that they will relate to the repression of
anarchists in Belarus, the anarchist point of view on Marx's critique of
political economy or Jaroslav Hashek. At the same time, we want to dedicate the
spring issue of the anarchist review Existence to Hashek , as we are
commemorating the centenary of his death. On that occasion, a year-long series of
texts will also appear on the afed.cz website. Of course, there are many more
plans, so hopefully the financial situation will not prevent us from implementing
them. But that depends on the movement as a whole, whether it will show that it
is interested in them by purchasing individual publications.

We will definitely make an effort to continue the activities and projects already
started (see the overview of activities for the past year, which will be
published during January), many of which are not even presented under the banner
of the Anarchist Federation. At the same time, we are of course limited by our
possibilities (number, frequent "abandonment" in the regions, time and financial
conditions, as well as our other interests, which we do not want to be deprived
of). Every hand and head that contributes to the common work is welcome -
membership is not a requirement. If you want to get to know us, there will
certainly be many opportunities to do so - it must be admitted that they are
mainly concentrated in the center, where most of the activities take place - in
Prague. In this direction, informal meetings over beer or at a barbecue have
started to prove their worth.

It's sad, but Putin's invasion of Ukraine has still not been fully repelled. We
hope that this will happen as soon as possible, and at the same time the entire
Z-fascist regime will fall in Russia, and therefore also in Belarus. But in the
meantime, we are determined to continue to provide all support to Ukrainian,
Belarusian and Russian anarchists and anarchists who are doing what they can to
contribute to the downfall of Putin and to organize as we can, without having to
put all of our efforts into reactions to repression or military aggression.

Last year, by bringing with it the military invasion of Ukraine, stirred up the
stale waters of the international radical left and the anarchist movement,
including the small domestic one. In this way, we could get to know better who
prefers to stick to dogmas that they adapt to their own needs, and who is willing
and able to analyze the newly created situation from anarchist positions and act
accordingly in solidarity. Because of our solidary support for the
anti-authoritarians in Ukraine, we even faced abuse. It was a marginal spat, but
instead of making us disgusted, they rather strengthened our argumentatively in
the belief that in our efforts it is about people first and that anarchism is a
dynamic concept of thought for us, not an inanimate and non-evolving dogma.

Even in 2023, we do not intend to be guided by dogmas, but above all by our own
head and our own heart, while anarchism is our compass on our way to a free and
self-governing, bottom-up organized society.
