movement has always fought to gain life time beyond the control of the bosses.Their "reform" of pensions simply aims to take back what was gained during the20th century. And the counter-offensive is violent, 2 years at once. At the sametime, it is planned to accelerate the Touraine reform which extends the number ofannuities required (43) to receive a full pension. Result: a reduction inpensions which will lead to the provision of individual savings solutions. ----The pension system is still largely financed by the socialization of part of oursalaries, what capitalists call social charges. The continuous employerexemptions of successive governments and their "reforms" on all the safety nets(unemployment, health, etc.) have for several decades attacked the principle ofsolidarity which had presided over the creation of Social Security.What we want: to pool wealth for more solidarityThe attack on pensions is therefore not only the business of retirees, it is thebanner of a society for the strongest to the detriment of the others. On thecontrary, we must reaffirm and repopularize the principle of a large SocialSecurity managed by the population where we pool a large part of the wealth weproduce, to provide for all the vagaries of life in a solidarity manner. And itsscope must be widened, in particular to cover new risks such as those linked toclimate change. This approach can allow us to make the connection betweenstruggles against pension reform and those for higher wages and with thedestruction of unemployment insurance. But also with environmental struggles. Andthus to build a broad social front carrying an emancipatory project.To achieve this: build the balance of power from now on!The meaning to be given to "what to fight for?" " is important. But the Macrongovernment will only let go if we are able to paralyze the economy by tappinginto the wallets of employers.We have the advantage of an extensive trade union arc which refuses thepostponement of the retirement age as well as the extension of the number ofyears of contribution.
