accepted by 50.55%. This is only 16.5% of the total Swiss population, voting
being optional and excluding non-naturalized residents or minors. However, this
will not change anything in its application, scheduled for 2024 : the reduction
of the pension rights of all women, who will be obliged to work an additional year.

Widely decried by national feminist collectives, this vote was marked by strong
dissension between the linguistic regions of the country and by gender. A Swiss
German and male majority decided to impose this diktat on women. This cannot be
considered " democracy ". Result : despite salary levels lower by 19%
(increasing), forced part-time work, systemic gender-based violence suffered and
other discrimination, gender equality only happens when it is again possible to
discriminate, a little more, those who are already on a daily basis. The question
of the existence of a solidarity insurance, paid on the whole salary, a
redistributive insurance in short, has never been accepted by the bourgeoisie.
The AVS, this hard-won achievement resulting from multiple social struggles, had
to be torpedoed.

The objective is clear for the capitalists: the total privatization of
retirement, through the individual provident scheme that constitutes in
Switzerland the 2nd and 3rd pillar, already often necessary for a dignified
retirement and yet not very accessible to the most precarious. Insurance
companies and banks are rubbing their hands over the result of this vote, which
endorses for the first time in more than twenty years an unfair and sexist reform.

The project of the right and business circles is clear: raise the retirement age
to 67 for all, the massive reduction of 2nd pillar benefits and provisions
favorable to the 3rd pillar. Socio-democratic politicians have been holding forth
since Sunday, explaining that this tight vote would prevent the excesses of the
right and business circles. We don't believe it for a second. Attacks will now be
that much stronger the more the first lock yielded. This battle is ideological
and if it turns out to be necessary to strike several times to achieve their
goal, they will come back a hundred times.
