In view of the attack on the Kurdish Ahmet Kaya cultural center in Paris on
December 23, 2022, we have drawn up a joint statement with our European sisterorganizations. We call on you as a revolutionary and anarchist movement to jointhe mass demonstration of the Kurdish movement in Paris on January 7th and todemand enlightenment and justice for the dead alongside our Kurdish friends.Nobody is forgotten! ---- Explanation ---- Terrorist attack on the Ahmet KayaCultural Center: Internationalist and feminist solidarity with the Kurdishfreedom movement! ---- Despite the official statements by the French governmentand the media, which speak only of a racist attack, the political and terroristnature of the attack on the Ahmet Kaya cultural center in Paris on December 23,2022 is beyond doubt. The attacks against the Kurdish freedom movement, whetherthey are taking place in Kurdistan or elsewhere, are obviously targeting thewomen's movement, which is at the heart of this revolutionary process. Let's bein Paris on January 7th to show our internationalist and feminist solidarity withthe Kurdish freedom movement and to demand truth and justice for the martyrs! On Friday December 23, 2022 we lost three Kurdish comrades: Emine Kara, MîrPerwer and Abdurrahman Kizil.Emine Kara (Êvîn Goyî) joined the Kurdish freedom movement more than 30 years agoand campaigned for the liberation of women and Kurds in all parts of Kurdistan. From 2014 she fought against the Islamic State in Syria and then, injured duringthe liberation of Raqqa, went to France for treatment. In France, she took overthe leadership of the Kurdish women's movement, although the French state refusedto grant her asylum. We owe the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" (Woman, Life, Freedom)to this women's liberation movement in Kurdistan, which is being taken up todayin Iran and around the world.Mir Perwer was a singer from Bakur, Kurdistan, Turkey, where he was persecutedfor his political activities, including his support for the HDP (People'sDemocratic Party).Abdurrahman Kizil was also a refugee from Bakur, a tireless activist for theKurdish cause for more than 40 years, a "Welatparez" (a term for civilianactivists of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, often wrongly translated aspatriot), who every day came to the Ahmet Kaya Center to take part in its activities. These three fallen activists are joined by others: Sakine Cansiz (Sara), LeylaSaylemez (Rojbîn) and Fidan Dogan (Ronahî), who were murdered in Paris in January2013, as well as all those who fought against the Turkish army, their militiasand Daesh fell.Women at the center of the revolution in KurdistanThe revolution for democratic confederalism is a women's revolution, and womenare paying a heavy price. On December 23, when the terrorist attacked the Kurdishcultural center in Paris, a meeting of the Kurdish women's movement was to takeplace. Luckily it had to be postponed by an hour. Otherwise there would have beena massacre of several dozen activists. From the murder of Sakîne, the co-founderof the PKK and a leading figure of the women's revolution, to Leyla, Fidan andEmine Kara today, from the political murders of cadres of the women's movement inBakur (Turkish part of Kurdistan) to the targeted drone attacks on Activists ofthe autonomous women's organizations in Rojava (Syrian part of Kurdistan), thestrategy is the same. The enemies of the Kurdish revolution, from Daesh toErdogan's Turkish state, know that women are at the heart of the revolutionaryprocess and make them priority targets to destroy the movement. It is a terrorist attack on an emancipatory political projectMacron, Darmanin or Borne only speak of a "heinous attack", an isolated act by aracist "who obviously wanted to attack foreigners", and refuse to describe thisattack as a terrorist attack. Since the investigation was not entrusted to theanti-terror prosecutor's office, the media followed the government and repeatedits words and propaganda. However, there is no doubt as to the terrorist and political character of theDecember 23 attack, knowing that at the time of the attack, representatives ofthe Kurdish women's movement were meeting to prepare the January 7 demonstrationand that the three locations to which where the assassination was carried out areKurdish, while people of many other nationalities live in this district. The Kurdish activists have long fought enemies who do not hesitate to murder, torture and use chemical weapons to maintain their rule. The liberation movementof Kurdistan answers today with the slogan that can be read on banners andposters: "Our revenge will be the revolution of the women". The indiscriminateand violent repression of the demonstrations in honor of the murdered comrades onDecember 23 only increases the anger of the Kurdish activists and their friendsat the state, which systematically oppresses rather than protects and sharesresponsibility carries for these events. Therefore, on January 7th, we will take to the streets again to seek truth andjustice for the comrades murdered in Paris, particularly through the completelifting of the information restriction ("national defense secrecy") surroundingthese crimes and for ours To reaffirm support for the revolution in northern andeastern Syria and its social project based on women's liberation, radicaldemocracy and ecology, which is a true source of inspiration for us. It isimportant to reaffirm our solidarity with the Kurdish movement in struggle and todefend this revolution that opens the way for us.We invite all political, trade union and allied organizations to a massivemobilization on January 7th from 11 am at the Gare du Nord in Paris.End impunity! Truth and Justice for Fidan, Sakîne, Leyla, Abdhurahman, Mîr,Emine! Break the defense secret! Stop Erdogan! Remove the PKK from the list ofterrorist organizations!https://www.dieplattform.org/2023/01/05/europaeische-anarchistische-erklaerung-am-7-januar-nach-paris-in-solidaritaet-mit-der-kurdischen-freiheitsbewegung/_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
