In the early morning hours of Monday 28/11/2022, police forces carried out an
evacuation operation of the Mundo Nuevo squat in Thessaloniki, arresting 4partners and detaining 3 more. ---- The evacuation of the Mundo Nuevo squat tookplace at a time when the state shakes the attacks against the occupied strugglesites, as within only a few days the Dougrou occupation in Larissa was evacuatedand there was an operation to evacuate the Occupied Refugee Community in Athens.In view of the upcoming elections, but also in an attempt to disorient publicopinion from the issues of accuracy and the intensifying class devaluation of theoppressed, the New Republic government is once again attacking the internalenemy, the anarchists, in order to rally the conservative and her far-right audience.The attack on the occupiers is an attack on the world of the capture struggle.The squatters' evictions are part of the state's plan to crush social and classresistance. That is why we defend the occupations, as they are centers ofstruggle that house political and cultural processes and events in terms ofself-organization, solidarity and direct action, because they are radicalventures that fight from below the dominant system of oppression and exploitation.The state is deluding itself if it thinks that by evacuating squatters it canstop the action of the anarchists. The squats, after all, are not just thebuildings themselves. It is a means of struggle that serves the purpose of socialand class emancipation. The squatters first and foremost are the squatters, thefighters and collectives who will continue to fight against the state, fascistsand capital.There is only one way to erect dykes against the brutality of the state andcapital. To organize in collective forms and structures of struggle, in politicalcollectives, labor unions and class initiatives, anti-fascist networks, studentgroups and neighborhood assemblies.
