there are possessors and dispossessed of material wealth, knowledge and culture,
there can be no equality. This inequality causes social classes to face each
other in a merciless struggle to make their interests prevail. Hence the
objectives of equality, liberty and fraternity of the bourgeois revolutions
cannot be achieved without destroying the principle of capitalist private

The Magonista proposal consists of destroying private capitalist ownership of
land, industry and knowledge, and transforming these wealth into common goods for
the free enjoyment and development of all human beings.

The destruction of the capitalist hydra is achieved through the expropriation of
the sources of wealth monopolized by the exploiters. The thieving bourgeoisie,
which has appropriated material and intangible wealth, must be expropriated with
the purpose of transforming land, industry and knowledge into common goods for

The individual, sexuality, free time, sports, children, desire, work, education,
communication, prisons, psychiatric hospitals, in short, all human activities and
relationships are subject to power, what the State as well as everyday life, the
public as well as the personal. Power is present in all spheres of social life
and takes many forms, has various mechanisms of social reproduction and various
modes of transmission. Consequently, to destroy multiple powers, it is necessary
to subvert them in all spaces, in all forms, in all human practices in which
power is reproduced and transmitted. In this sense, the magonistas state that the
destruction of the hydra of authority requires the reappropriation of all life
and the construction of a new life,

The alternative to power proposed by magonistas is to reappropriate our lives.
That is, to reappropriate our body, our sexuality, our health, our habitat, our
food, our education, our desires. We have to reconquer the right to life, because
life is subjected to power. And this recovery of life takes place both in the
community and in the individual sphere. The associations of free women and men
will determine everything that has to do with the reproduction of the community,
taking their lives into their hands, without social relations of command and
obedience.

Destruction of the hydra of clericalism

The clergy in Mexico want to maintain their spaces of domination over
mentalities, education, sexuality and our bodies. The Church -as in the 19th
century- wants individuals to submit to the idea of God, opposes scientific
knowledge, combats biological and sexual education, and wants to control our
bodies, who and how we love, our desires, our reproduction. The Church in Mexico
has not allowed itself to be part of the hydra of power, it wants alienated
individuals, ignorant of science, who do not control their bodies, oblivious to
their desires. In short, subjected, alienated, ignorant, dissatisfied
individuals, prisoners of the shackles of faith. We must subvert the religious
mentality, in which God is everything and the individual nothing, access
scientific education, fully enjoy our sexuality and our desires,

As we can see, in the 21st century, the magonista ideal has a vital proposal: to
conquer economic freedom through the abolition of private and state property, so
that all wealth, material and intangible, belongs to everyone and for everyone.
Likewise, it advocates building a free and autonomous life, in which no one has
the right to command or the obligation to obey and, therefore, the pernicious
social relationship of authority, with its hierarchies, its violence and its
wars, ceases to exist.
