When news broke that Putin's forces were invading Ukraine last year, I was shocked and horrified.
But, in the face of this emergency, All Out members from around the world – like you! – leapt into action and generously donated over $345,000 to directly support the safety and survival of LGBT+ Ukrainians.
It was the largest crowdfunder in All Out's history.
These donations are funding shelters for LGBT+ Ukrainians in neighboring countries and the work of Ukrainian groups like Kyiv Pride and Insight. They are providing emergency shelter, food, medication, and relocation out of the country to hundreds of people in need.
But, next month will mark one year since the war started and there's no end in sight. To this day, we are still hearing from Kyiv Pride and Insight about the continued emergency needs Ukrainians are facing.
I want to tell our Ukrainian LGBT+ partners that they won't be left behind in 2023. We need to continue fueling their lifesaving work, as the war rages on.

Putin's regime isn't just terrorizing Ukrainian people.
For years, All Out has been partnering with the Russian LGBT Network – the country's largest queer rights organization. But their incredibly brave, lifesaving work was shut down by the Russian government last year.
And that's not all – this past December, Russia passed a more extreme version of their infamous anti-LGBT+ "Propaganda law," criminalizing any positive mention of LGBT+ people in public. It's truly horrifying and further endangers the lives of Russian LGBT+ people.
As anti-Russia sentiments rise, Russian LGBT+ people may get left behind. We've been supporting LGBT+ rights activists in Russia for years, and we don't want to give up now.
