Unfortunately, we have to inform you again that the Bio.Me soap factory inThessaloníki, which has been occupied since 2011 and has been self-managing since2013, is in great danger. The judiciary and capital secretly sold the land onwhich the factory is located to an investment fund company. ---- We, the Bio.Meworkers, declare that we will continue to produce in the factory, even if thestate and capital rush the police special forces after us. We will oppose aneviction. Because this place is our life and because we also owe this place toyou. We owe it to the tens of thousands of solidarity people we have cometogether with over the years. Because you came to our factory. Because you haverecognized our work by purchasing Bio.Me products. Because you were with us indemonstrations. Because you celebrated concerts and festivals in the occupiedfactory. Because you stood shoulder to shoulder with us in the face of the policeforces.The only factory in Greece working without a boss; the only factory whereeveryone is paid equally; the only factory liberated by capitalists and returnedto society is in acute danger. And the only ones who can help are you. In thepast ten years of self-government, we have taken up the fight against all sortsof opponents. We were attacked by the special police units. The publicelectricity company DEI has cut off the power supply. The judiciary is runningthe foreclosure sale of our factory.But we resisted and withstood the attacks. We will do the same now. But no matterhow determined we are, our true strength is you reading these lines. We havelittle time to block their operation. And we will. Every action counts: everydiscussion about Bio.Me, every poster, every slogan on the wall, every motorcade,every solo concert, every protest march, every small or large gathering in Greeceand Europe. Any post in the media. Every solidarity address from trade unionstructures and every signature. All these actions result in a great flow ofpeople taking to the streets and protesting.
