Since 2014 the CODEX83 has organized itself against the extreme right. ---- The
coordination which brings together seventeen organizations to date is preparing anew event in March. In 2014, following the electoral victories of the FN in thethree municipalities of Fréjus, Le Luc and Cogolin, several trade union,associative and political organizations of the Var decided to unite their effortswithin the framework of a departmental coordination against the extreme right.(CODEX 83). ---- Since that date, they have met regularly to allow activists todiscuss their experiences and practices in the field, to sharpen their arguments,to write, model and distribute leaflets, to relay the distribution of brochurespublished nationally by the collective VISA (Vigilance and anti-fascist tradeunion initiatives), to organize gatherings, to animate conferences-debates.Today, CODEX has seventeen member organizations (APC Grand Toulon, ATTAC 83, CGT83, Ensemble 83, EELV 83, FSU 83, Confédération paysanne 83, LDH Toulon-La Seyne,LFI 83, NPA 83, PCF 83 , SNUipp-FSU 83, SNJ-CGT, Solidaires 83, Sud éducation 83,UCL 83, VISA 83). His public initiatives have enabled him to appear in severaltowns in the department (Pierrefeu, Le Cannet-des-Maures, Correns, Draguignan andToulon). The next meeting will take place at Luc-en-Provence in the second halfof March.
