Following the events of the Italian "left" I often think of the image of Will
Smith with his "sparaflash" in MIB. Or "Groundhog Day". It is always an eternalstarting over, characterized if anything by an ever greater inability tounderstand and an increasingly poor quality of the ruling classes. ---- Now theDemocratic Party is trying to be reborn by starting exactly from the point thatbrought it up to here. Thirty years in which a couple, or nearly so, ofgenerations seem to know nothing and those who preceded them seem to remembernothing. If the saying that "you learn from mistakes" were real, the PD shouldhave done only one thing in recent years: close shop. But be careful.. did I write "wrongly"? Are we sure that that road taken was amistake and not exactly what that ruling class wanted? Back then, the closurewould still have been a great start, but for the majority of Italian citizens. Now we start again, with the idiocy of the primaries to choose again between 2media personalities. One, Bonaccini, who is none other than the "Renzi 2", less young and less bold, but with the same ideological basis (he is, of course, a proponent of thedisastrous ideology of differentiated autonomy), the other, a young do-nothingupper class who doesn't even know where she comes from ("was she ever acommunist"? "I was born later", this is the more or less literal answer of thisself-styled "leftist".So even the Italian Constitution is old stuff...she was born later!) and whichcarries on the usual battles made with grammatical variations, civil rightswithout social rights and class struggle is old stuff not for us young people!A sad revival of the primaries (i.e. the civil war) of Renziana's memory.Oh no, there's also a "manifesto" which basically denies what until yesterday wasthe focus of the same idea of PD. "Sorry we made a bit of a mess but now we arehere completely renewed". But the restyling of the PANDA has never looked soridiculous either. The post-PCI Italian left was primarily responsible for the decline of everysocial right (and therefore also civil, not the other way around): jobinsecurity, privatization of services, financialisation of the economy (Iremember "we have a bank" by Fassino , the bankruptcy of Monte dei Paschi diSiena by d'Alema, the pulverization of Treu's work), Now while they arediscussing this bogus manifesto, the Tuscan PD is about to approve the creationof a Multi-utility in which all essential services will be listed in bag. Eitherthey're schizophrenic or they're freaks. Maybe both together. In fact, the right-right government (the exact photocopy of the government of thelast century) is hardly pricked by this left, which thinks the same way onfundamentals. Not because there are 2 right. There is only one. And it is the onelinked to the liberal ideological diktat that survives even after the devastatingdisasters of the last 15 years. Here we are at market fundamentalism. To the Jihad of capitalism. I can't sayanything else.If the PD disappeared, nothing would happen for better or for worse. But, atleast, we had a definitive and purifying explanation. But this will not happen and we will find this weight under our feet celebratingthe resistance and the Azov battalion, criticizing social injustices, whilesupporting all the most heinous reforms against the constitution and work andsparing us the farce of this sort of " piddist refoundation" which we reallydon't miss.Andrea Belluccihttp://www.ucadi.org/2023/02/01/rifondazione-piddista/_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
