undergone a surge; many arsenals have been emptied, and the armaments factories

and use war as a cover; However, he has already thrown 500 million into the
Ukrainian cauldron in the form of armaments, and he is spending another 500

The increasingly direct involvement of NATO countries in the conflict is
increasing the real risk of its enlargement; the balance of terror has long since
been overcome by a balance on the battlefield, made to the sound of thousands of
deaths, destructions, and by a stalemate that can only be overcome by the
introduction of ever more lethal weapons, up to those nuclear.

This is because the warlords have decided that this conflict can only end with
winners and losers.

It is an established fact that the timing of the conflict is dictated by the
United States and almost all of its allies (the less hesitant ones), on the one
hand, and Putin on the other. Zelensky is just a poor pathetic baby who has been
manipulated from the beginning by NATO, which, like Russia, planned and exploded
the war. Certainly there is an invading army of a territory, which no one feels
like justifying; but on this other side it should not be forgotten that that
conflict was sought as much as Russia, to straighten the backs of a Europe too
open to Moscow, too constrained by its energy supplies, and in search of its own
political autonomy, as well as than economic and military.

The Ukrainian people found themselves between two fires; it has to protect itself
from bombs and destruction and it is doing it as best it can; this objective fact
cannot hide how the country has been governed by a clique of scoundrels, which
even in this past year, has continued to make money, corrupt, mind its own
business even with the huge economic aid from abroad.

The Ukrainian population is used, exploited, for purposes that are certainly not
their freedom, their well-being, their self-determination.

The word to end the war will be put, if and when they want it, by Biden and
Putin, and their various supporting subjects-subjects-allies. And it will not be
dictated by a solution on the Donbass or the Crimea, but by the re-establishment
of balances at an international level, which both sides wanted to violate to
pursue other ends very different from the control (or defense) of the territory
Ukrainian. The clash has been global for some time, between different and
opposing economic powers, it is between the USA and China, and for years this
clash has been practiced by proxy in various parts of the planet, especially in
Africa, but not only. War by proxy means that others do the dirty work, that
others die. Russia is an integral part of this economic and political
confrontation, which has turned into a military one, and is participating in it
in the most brutal way possible, the only way that fits with the ideology of the
total domination of a dictatorship. But let us not forget that until thirteen
months ago Putin's regime was well accepted in the salons of the world
bourgeoisie, it shared all kinds of banquets, and its own banks and companies,
above all energy and military, did business with anyone, hosted administrations
eminent figures of the political world of Western states; let us not forget that
the current Italian government coalition stood out for its pro-Putinism, which
was not only a support for the leader of the Russian state, but also a sharing of
his ideas and his methods, and in many cases they were also links of covert
business and financing.  All of this - and it applies to Italy but also to most
of the NATO countries - in full awareness of what that regime represented,
desired, did, at home and outside.

In the past year, the war has been trivialized, just as evil was trivialized at
the time of the holocaust; it has become part of our daily life, together with
the advertising of chips or luxury cars, losing its dramatic, dangerous,
carcinogenic meaning. With its trivialization, the links that every war develops
in order to exist have also been lost: the war economy (factories, planning,
trade, armaments), the high cost of living that military spending imposes and the
transfer of enormous resources from fundamental fields for people's lives and for
societies, towards the exclusive sphere of destruction; the truth, drowned from
the first minute in the swamp of propaganda, and in this there is no distinction
between the rough propaganda of the Russian (and Ukrainian) government, and the
soft and democratic one of Western governments.

The fact is that no peace process has been launched, no diplomatic avenue has
been attempted, except for the very interested strategy of Turkish President
Erdogan, who is much more attentive to internal politics and to settling accounts
with the Kurdish people with the approval of NATO and the Russia. Peace doesn't
interest anyone at the moment, because war is a real business, not only economic,
but also political: it brings a lot to everyone, unites, imposes harsh
interventions in the economy, and then, let us not forget, it has always been the
main strategy of the states, of NATO as well as of the opposing front.

Just as we don't talk about peace, we mustn't talk about pacifists, deserters,
fugitives who have tried and are trying to escape unshared choices, descended
from above. There are hundreds of thousands in the two opposing camps, and they
are truly forgotten by the conflict, because their active neutrality, their
refusal to fight, to take sides and enlist, to be crushed by war propaganda, are
annoying, must be cancelled. Better to show the victims, the desperate families,
the destroyed countries, in order to continue to obtain consensus for a strategy
which, yes, really, represents a climb towards the irreparable.

We were right to shout "Against Russia and NATO" right from the start, and we did
even better when we declared that our fight against the war had to be done here
and now, in our occupied and militarized land, immersed in strategies of death
and control of the territories and the Mediterranean, as we have always done.
Because only by dismantling the foundations of death can we help build a world
without wars and true peace.
