It is urgent that we actively join this struggle to advance the demarcation of
territories and to stop the Temporal Mark. There are more than 300 indigenous
peoples in the country, with their diversity of social organization, languages
and cultures, which, according to preliminary data from the last demographic
census, add up to a population of around 1.6 million people.

Bolsonaro, in addition to not carrying out any demarcation, destroyed all bodies
and policies in defense of indigenous peoples, in addition to spreading hatred
against indigenous peoples. However, we know that territory demarcations, before
their complete paralysis, had already suffered a decline in previous governments,
since the first term of Fernando Henrique Cardoso. Therefore, in addition to the
policies of shift governments, it is important to remember that this is a State
policy, the main instrument of the ruling classes to maintain their oppression.

Currently, according to Funai, Brazil has around 680 regularized territories and
more than 200 are paralyzed under analysis. One of the main factors responsible
for this is the advance of the idea that culminated in the reactionary thesis of

only have the right to the lands that were occupied until the date of the

land grabbers!
