situations of precariousness in everyday life. It was forged from the struggles
and mobilizations carried out by the category in recent years, with members
actively participating in the fight against the Municipal Social Security reforms
(Sampaprev 1 and 2) and the Strike for Life. It built and builds regional strike
commands, demonstrations, camps and the like.

In addition to the militancy of OASL, Chapa 3 has, among its components,
independent education professionals and members of the currents LOI (Liga
Operária Internacionalista), Guillermo Lora and FOB (Federation of Revolutionary
Trade Union Organizations of Brazil). It is a plural and struggle construction!

The principles of Independent, Class and Combative Unity are clear: class
independence (not subjecting the union to the interests of shift governments and
bosses); classism (education professionals, as part of the working class,
actively act for class achievements); direct action (historic method of the
working class, without depending on the mediation of rulers, parliamentarians and
the like).

In the last 36 years, SINPEEM has been led by Cláudio Fonseca, who, again, is
running for re-election on Chapa 1. In his terms, the union took on an
increasingly authoritarian character, limiting the union instances of the
category and not even complying with deliberations collective actions - for
example, the reopening of the sub-headquarters, which are included in the union
statute and whose reactivation was approved in the Union Congresses of 2018 and
2019. Cláudio Fonseca was a councilor for Citizenship, a grassroots party in the
city hall.

The Independent, Class and Combative Unit defends the true democratization of
SINPEEM, based on grassroots democracy. The category is the protagonist of
struggles, strikes and mobilizations and must have a voice and active
participation in the union instances. The union belongs to the category, it
cannot be subject to personal interests!
