waged everywhere between the imperialist powers by the markets, has as a
consequence an inflationary escalation and narrowing of exchanges, which manifest
themselves on the prices of commodities, directly affecting basic necessities,
and raising the cost of living for workers all over the world.

The bourgeoisie and its governments have also increasingly expanded their
offensive against jobs, wages and the social rights of workers, imposing greater
setbacks, withdrawing rights and intensifying the wage squeeze, an offensive that
was boosted by labor and social security reforms. and outsourcing. Added to this
picture of attacks, the freezing of wages and benefits of all civil servants for
a year and a half, and, even after the pandemic period, there was no readjustment
above inflation, which means wage reduction for workers in set.

Education workers in São Paulo suffer the effects of the same wage squeeze
policy, since the Dória and Bruno Covas/PSDB governments, and now with Nunes/MDB.
In previous periods, the category was also already suffering from the reality of
wage flattening, with the policy of raising wage floors through supplementary
bonuses, which were gradually incorporated, and quickly eroded by inflation, even
before being incorporated into entirely to wages. As can be seen, the wage
squeeze is a long-standing project, which has been increasingly lowering workers'
subsistence conditions. Therefore, we cannot accept this readjustment lure,
through installment incorporation.

In addition to the wage squeeze, in São Paulo, the municipal and state
governments are hand in hand, brutally deepening the precariousness of work.
There are several factors that have contributed to this worsening of working
conditions, among them, one of the main ones is the reduction in the number of
employees in schools. In addition to this reduction in staff, there is
insufficient support for caring for children with disabilities. This scenario has
led to an unsustainable illness.

Above all, even in the face of this chaotic scenario, the bureaucratic leadership
of SINPEEM, headed by Cláudio Fonseca, started another school year with virtual
meetings, making it impossible to debate the demands and the organization of the
fight in the streets, through face-to-face assemblies, and relegating the salary
campaign, to carry out union elections and stay in the leadership of the union
for a longer time. After the failed virtual electoral process, which ended up
cancelled, he calls for an assembly, but continues to reject unity with the other
union entities, which could create conditions for a unified movement, and greater
collective strength, and goes in search of a summit negotiation, that is reverted
to its own benefit. Workers must demand that grassroots representatives be
elected in the assembly to participate in negotiations with the government. We
must not have confidence in this bureaucratic leadership, which has already
betrayed us countless times!

In this sense, the militants of the political and independent organizations that
make up the Independent, classist and combative unity front, call on workers to
assume and strengthen the struggle from the grassroots, in defense of the end of
the bonus policy and for the immediate real readjustment of wages. wages, decided
by the workers in assembly, with the replacement of all losses, and that wages
are readjusted automatically, according to inflation. For this, it is necessary
to trust and rely on our strength and collective struggle, through direct action
methods (strikes, demonstrations, pickets...).

Wage adjustment with replacement of all losses! End of outsourcing, hiring
outsourced workers! Expansion of the faculty module and support staff! Full
funding of education! Down with counter-reforms (High School, Labor, Social
Security)! Down with the privatization of public services! End confiscation of
pensioners! Immediate repeal of labor, social security and secondary education
counter-reforms!

MANIFESTO IN DEFENSE OF PRESENTIAL ELECTIONS AT SINPEEM
On that 05/05, there was an attempt to hold the election for the direction of
SINPEEM. Unsurprisingly, since the opening of the polls at 7 am, "technical"
failures accumulated and after 4 hours of starting the voting, the electoral
commission met, without the presence of representatives of our Chapa 3, and voted
for the CANCELLATION of the process election after request of the president of
the union and candidate of Chapa 1 for re-election, Cláudio Fonseca.

The entire process was commanded with an iron fist by the union bureaucracy that
represents the
majority of the members of the election commission. Since the date of the
election, passing through the electoral regiment, the online voting format, and
also the company responsible for the election, were determined by the union
leadership, which makes up slate 1. This configuration has already taken place in
a questionable way, through meetings of the General Council unilaterally
transformed by the management into "assemblies" that served to change the union's
statute, with changes such as the increase in the term of office and the increase
in the number of secretaries. In short, the electoral process was already harmed
by the leadership in its essence, even so, we did not exempt ourselves from
defending our instrument of struggle with the necessary and correct policy of
class independence.

It is also worth remembering that in the two meetings of the General Council
there was a defense by groupings that are part of slate 3 about the need to
organize the fight around the salary campaign and other claims by calling an
assembly and subsequent election, however, the bureaucracy union with a majority
in the council approved a simplified election calendar, putting the salary
campaign in the background.

And now it makes demagoguery by defending the priority of the wage campaign to
justify the cancellation of the electoral process, that is, with all the problems
that have arisen and with the proximity of our wage campaign, the commission
controlled by the direction CANCELS the election without any indication of new
date and the board already indicates the opening of a lawsuit against the company
hired by the board itself to carry out the election.

The bureaucracy's call for the wage campaign comes with an indication of a
strike, and we know that strikes must be for an indefinite period, therefore,
there is no doubt that the SINPEEM leadership will use the strike as an electoral
platform. Therefore, the need for the category to strengthen this struggle,
demanding the broadest workers' democracy in the assemblies and the proper
methods of the class struggle to impose our demands, seeking the unity of the
struggle with the other workers.

Therefore, due to the historical experience we have in relation to lawsuits in
other processes of union elections, as well as the opportunism of entrenched
bureaucrats who can use judicialization for their own benefit, which means to say
that it is one of the opportunities to maintain artificially in the direction of
the union until the judicial process is concluded, which in some cases can take
years. In this sense, we at Chapa 3 - Independent, Class and Combative Unit - are
vehemently against any type of judicialization related to the election for the
direction of SINPEEM, it is the workers in assembly who must decide on the
electoral processes and not the bourgeois justice.

We defend PRESENTIAL election, as a way of politicizing this process, in which
the base of the category in direct contact with the candidates for leadership has
the opportunity to defend their instrument of struggle collectively and not
individually behind a machine.

We also demand an urgent meeting of the electoral commission, with ALL
representatives of Chapa and outside of business hours next week, to deliberate
on a new date for the election, already advancing that we defend it for the 2nd
semester, as we understand that the wage campaign should not be harmed.

We also call on Chapa 2 teammates to position themselves in the same direction,
understanding that the process cannot be hijacked by bureaucracy.
