I came across the first issue of Hrmot quite recently. Now, almost exactly a year
later, a sequel has been released. But I was already ready for that, so when itsauthor appeared at the 4th Spring Zine Party, where it had its premiere, Iimmediately exchanged it with her for the spring Existence from Hashek. ---- Ifin the previous review I complained about Hrmot's reluctance tof publish reviewsof zines, I was pleased right away in the editorial that the author appreciatedthat the review itself is a suitable feedback and "kicks me to continue". ----Despite the "cut and paste" format, Hrmot preserves the order of similarperiodicals - a kind of organization in apparent chaos - introduction, columns,articles, interviews, reports, reviews. So I'll take it in order too. Columns:how satisfying when a hc-punk zine doesn't have five out of five columns by men,as has been the long-standing standard. Here are three out of three by women, andbelieve me, this fact doesn't really have to be a mainstream feminist zine.However, thanks to this, the diversity of topics penetrates the site. Forexample, how a bunch of girls, even though some of them are mothers, discusstheir sorrows over wine until they find the valve in starting their own band. Orwhy the hell do you have to pay for jerks at gas stations, which in a way isdiscriminatory for women, while the majority of guys will calmly pour it out atthe first bush. What struck me, however, was the confession of a formerenthusiastic fan of the singer Avril Lavigne. Not because she had her pop-rockidol as a teenager, but because it is assumed that in the hc-punk scene such acoming out can degrade subcultural capital. Not everyone has older siblings orenlightened classmates who will immediately show them the only right thing to do.Everyone has their own path. And if this is not respected, then something iswrong. So it's good that it's being talked about/written about.Articles: Well, one, but it's worth it - This is not a love story! subtitled AShort History of Anarcho-Feminism in Romania, from Punk to Intersectionality. Thetext is a de facto history of the first anarcho-feminist collective in Romania,which called itself LoveKills. He was active in the years 2003-2009, publishing azine and organizing a festival of the same name. "Our main goal and idea isanarchism. We connect feminism and anarchism because we see that there are stillissues of sexism and domination in the 'free' and 'friendly' environment of theso-called anarchist media that need to be addressed. But we place more emphasison anarchism, because we consider it a suitable way to achieve the absolutefreedom of all beings." The last chapter of the text is dedicated to othersimilarly focused groups that were or are still active in Romania.Interviews: The first with the all-female immigrant band Messed Up originallyfrom Belarus. "Essentially the entire former Belarusian scene has moved toPoland, trying to integrate and enrich the local scene. Some people from ourscene were imprisoned, others left the scene to try to live something like anormal life in their native country." But it's not just the situation in Belarus,for which, among other things, "one guy in a bunker somewhere in Russia" is toblame, the girls say also about their activities in Poland or about theirexperiences in the covid department. Michal Kencr, who played in the bandsDemoliton Workers, Cnepocok, Human Bites and Disavoir Vivre, organized concertsand published the zine Sebetvor, was the second to answer the questions. Thethird interview, this time taken over, is with the Swedish band Adrestia, which,among other things, is involved in supporting the Rojava municipality. In thiscontext, he also comments on Erdogan's effort to become a peace mediator of thewar in Ukraine and notes about the war itself that "it is great to see theparticipation of Ukrainian and Belarusian anarchists and activists in theresistance against the Russian invasion".Reports: Explore Slovenia's now-legalized squat Trainstation SubArt, Valencia'sCentro Sociale Rivolta, Brno's Siberia and embark on a journey throughrain-soaked French hills and libraries, battling strikes and anti-pension reformdemonstrations accompanied by witty commentary as: "A few people even managed tobreak into the town hall building with the aim of setting it on fire.
