On May 1, 1886 in Chicago, the striking working class demanded an 8-hour day. If
the repression was terrible, since then the claim has been won. Like other majorsocial gains, it was the organization of our class that won the victory. Eventoday, the battle for time rages through the fight against pension reform.Organizing ourselves is a bulwark as essential as it is powerful to stem theaccumulation of crises - political, social, ecological - that we are goingthrough. We must build the unity of our camp to snatch new victories andradically change society. ---- Regime crisis, reinforced struggle ---- These lastmonths leave no doubt: there is nothing to expect from our political and economicinstitutions except always more inequalities, exploitation, and repression .After more than 3 months of mobilizations against the pension reform, moredetermined than ever, the social movement has been able to reinvent itself in itsactions and breathe new life into the protest. The battle for pensions is notover (the CPE promulgated in 2006 was finally withdrawn in the face of the scaleof the challenge), and whatever happens, we will have rejected the SNU and theimmigration law.Power is discredited, in France and abroad. He is feverish. The crisis of theregime is unprecedented: the elected officials are afraid of our pans... We havestrengthened our camp, now more numerous and more united. Even abroad, where itwas no longer heard, the slogan of retirement at 60 is rumored and spread. Wemust continue the fight. Our anger does not weaken: neither do we!Macron and his government will only let go if we paralyze the economy and stopfilling the wallets of employers. Let us organize ourselves to build a massivestrike, in all sectors, renewed by the general assemblies of strikers in theworkplaces and in the territories, to rout government projects and become awareof our strength: it is the capitalists who need workers, not the other wayaround! Let's regain control over our lives and our work so that it becomesemancipatory, reconcilable with ecological imperatives and socially useful. Letus criticize state capitalism everywhere: the struggle must be directed towardsour real enemies, the fascists must no longer grow on social regression andoppression. We know what we wantWe want a self-managing society, in which the workers themselves manage theirwork, where production is democratically organized and distributed according toneeds and with respect for the ecosystem, a society where democracy is direct. Weknow in what conditions we want to live and grow old, work, learn, love. We wantand we can build a society free from capitalism and the state, from racism andpatriarchy.Let's not give up! The unity of our camp is the best strategy!leaflet May 1, 2023And long live libertarian communism! On the back of the leaflet, you will find the European press release from ourinternational Anarkismo network.https://www.unioncommunistelibertaire.org/?Et-que-vive-le-communisme-libertaire_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
