May Day is a day of historical memory. --- It is a day connected to the labor and
social struggles that took place in other places and times, demanding theabolition of the exploitation of man by man. --- The strikes of Chicago in 1886and Thessaloniki in 1936 are indelibly imprinted on the pages of revolutionarymemory and are milestones in the struggles our class is waging today, for itsliberation from the shackles of capitalist exploitation. --- In the presentperiod there is a violent redistribution of wealth from the bottom up at enormouscost to the lives of the exploited classes. --- The conditions of the modernworking middle ages for the world of work are being consolidated. --- The passageof the anti-labor bills by the political representatives of the bourgeoisie and aseries of measures that advance the world of employers, form a gloomy landscapefor the working class. --- Starvation wages, the abolition of the Sunday holiday, the encroachment of the eight-hour day, the increasingly intensified work rates, the absence of protective measures in the workplace and the increased number oflabor "accidents", demonstrate the future they have in store for all of us, theexploiters of our land. The flexibility of labor relations, the status of precarious, "black" and poorlypaid work and the unemployment that plagues thousands of people, mainly youngpeople, is the reality that the exploiting class is called upon to fight. The privatization of services and basic goods, the sale of public wealth tomonopolistic multinational groups and the degradation of networks andinfrastructures are some of the broken things that the social base is asked topay for, often with its own life. The fatal accident on the tracks of Tempe wasanother state-capitalist crime that confirms the fate of the lower social strata,in times of intense profitability crisis for the capitalists. As if all this were not enough, the resulting wave of precision and the increasedcost of living is an additional condition that the poor social strata have todeal with. Skyrocketing prices of essential items on supermarket shelves, inflated electricity bills and exorbitant rents have made living conditions eventougher for workers. Not a few families, who, being unable to repay their housingloans, are targeted by banks and would-be funds, quite often facing the risk ofauctions and violent evictions from their homes, in the presence of bailiffs andpolice. There are even cases of families being asked to live for weeks in coldand dark houses without heating or electricity.Ensuring the orderly profitability of the capitalists presupposes the upgradingof the repressive arsenal of the gendarme state. We see labor and class strugglesincreasingly facing the iron boot of repressive forces under the state'szero-tolerance doctrine: Dozens of activists are targeted by the police anddragged to trials, with inflated charges and trumped-up cases. Strike guards inoccupied workplaces are hit with chemicals and globs. Special police forcesinvade universities, while marches and street rallies are met with open violence. The massive and diverse, however, strike matches in Cosco, e-food, Energean,Larko, Malamatina and Wolt, illuminate the roads opened by the competitors.Against the pervasive climate of disenchantment, disengagement and resignation, the recent scattered but significant rebellions of the working world againsttheir bosses show that as long as there is exploitation of man by man andinjustice, there will be resistance. Because the only lost battle with the worldof state and capital is the one that was never fought. On the occasion of the pre-election frenzy of the parties for parliamentaryrepresentation, the necessity of highlighting another path in the social base, bythe forces of the subversive and radical movement, is once again and in animperative manner. The path of the radical overthrow of the capitalist productionsystem and the rupture with the world of the state and capital. An impassable andstraight road, which cannot be carved overnight, but is opened day by day, stepby step, with organization, mass addressing and struggle, in workplaces, schools, colleges and neighborhoods.Support for the May Day strike with a rally at 10:00 am. from the Annex and marchat 10:30 am. from the Labor CenterMovement of Anarchist Communists ''Azadi'' / Patrashttps://www.ainfos.ca/gr/ainfos04263.html_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
