The 18-day occupation of the EKPA rector's office by the movement of students,
Students for the libertarian organization at the base, was evacuated on Thursday,March 30, after the rector's public call for a police invasion. ---- Theoccupation of the Rectory was held exemplary despite the fact that there werecontinuous blackmails to vacate. The building was constantly under siege. Defyingthe adverse conditions, with the help of the solidarity world, the rest of theoccupiers and the world of struggle, the Occupy of the Rectorate of EKPAmobilized and hosted cultural and political gatherings, artistic events, while atthe same time being strengthened through the solidarity attitude of thestruggling subjects who, despite bans and intimidation, they offered food andbasic necessities overcoming the police cordon and terrorism. The image of theoccupied rectory surrounded by police forces that trampled the university asylumfor 18 days was a vivid image of repression of any focus of struggle and remindsus of the state's brutality towards any struggling subject who resists itspractices. 10 arrests were made during the occupation, on misdemeanor-typecharges: Disruption of a public service, Unlawful Violence (which has absolutelyno substance since the police were the ones who did not let people near theoccupied building) and Intimidation. The Dramatic School of the National Theater which was occupied for two and moremonths could only express solidarity and support for the occupation of auniversity building, the occupation of the Rectorate of EKPA. In particular, since the asylum has been raided by police forces, countless times in the pastafter its abolition, with beatings on students and supporters. Our support as an association of the Drama school of the National Theatre, wasseen from the first moment in this combination of student struggles and studentmovement against PD 85 and the educational restructuring and this solidarity is anegotiation. We also continue to stand in solidarity with the Olympia, ASKT andNafplion School of Fine Arts occupations as well as the occupations throughoutGreece. We condemn the police invasion and the encroachment of the asylum by the policeforces. We condemn the methods of the Rector of EKPA who tried to undermine anddelegitimize the movement by distorting the character of the subject. We demand the immediate withdrawal of all charges against the 10 arrested personsof the occupied rectory. No prosecution of those arrested. On Tuesday 09/05 at 09:00 we will all be in Evelpidon supporting the arrestedpersons with our presence.Association of Students of the School of Dramatic Art of the National Theatrehttps://landandfreedom.gr/el/agones/1260-kalesma-allileggyis-gia-tis-tous-sylliftheises-entes-tis-katalipsi-tis-prytaneias-tou-ekpa-triti-9-5_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
