Neither health, nor freedom, the state sows death and terrorism ---- In the last
4 years of the neoliberal government of the New Democracy, state and capital setout for another four years to fulfill their unique role, through the governmentto subjugate even more the social base sowing death day by day. We can name toomany highlights of this government season. Starting from the COVID-19 pandemic tothe Roma Nikos Sampanis, Costas Frangoulis and the 57 dead in the Tempi traincrash, we arrive at an untold amount of state murders, which were either carriedout in cold blood by the uniformed bastards that were so painstakingly reinforcedeither because of the degraded NHS and the degraded rail network. In fact, whathas now become abundantly clear is that the state and capital are killing all thetime, either in an effort to maintain their sovereignty or because they arecompletely indifferent to life and humanity as a whole. In modern totalitarianism, our lives have no value. They are nothing but numbers and numbers in tables of statistical studies. Lives, people, society are nothing more than profit machines for the state-capitalistsystem. They are nothing but cheap labor, forced to produce whatever the freemarket demands. In modern totalitarianism, education is sold and bought.Cops roam free inside university institutions, guarding educational restructuringlike loyal soldiers. Whether this concerns the policy of privatization and thecommercialization of knowledge, or the policy of flattening all social and classresistance. In modern totalitarianism everything that threatens is threatened. The resistances that arise on the street, in the neighborhoods, in theuniversities and in the workplaces are constantly suppressed. Anything thatconstitutes a space of resistance, struggle and freedom receives organizedattacks until it is completely destroyed. Squatters are being vacated in anattempt - above - to sterilize modern urban centres, demonstrations arecriminalised, labor unions are confronted by riot police and strikers whilestudent unions are demarcated and restricted while asylum is abolished. In short, every achievement of social and class struggles is forcibly removed from society. In addition to all this, the last four years culminated in the tragic state crimein Tempe with dozens dead and as many missing without any claim ofresponsibility. With crocodile tears, conquering the three-day "nationalmourning", it was proved once again that the rulers completely renounce theirresponsibilities for their death policy and shift the responsibilities toinexplicable reasons, inventing hypothetical weighty concepts, such as"individual responsibility" and the "human error". And while we observe awidespread social anger degenerating into huge - strike and non- strike -demonstrations, mass meetings and even clashes with the police, on the other handwe observe the state apparatus preparing for the established election festival."Elections are the bazaar of vanity and consciences," KropotkinThe dominant narrative tries to convince us in every way that with theparticipation of the grassroots in the elections, on the one hand, the grassrootsitself allegedly participates in decision-making, while at the same time, thatour influence in the socio-political process is exhausted. However, we are wellaware that these are the mildest means of self-preservation of power. Cultivatingus, the illusion that with one vote we will claim social change, itsimultaneously tries to bend, assimilating the militant social and classresistances in the field of the street. The demolition of the system of power andexploitation can only come through real processes of struggle, processes that areaddressed to the social base and transformed into real resistances, on thestreet, at work, at school and in every social field. Against logics ofassignment and mediation, we, as anarchist subjects, put forward in opposition tothem, organization and participation in the struggles. We don't want to vote foranyone to decide our lives. We are capable, collectively and self-organized withour weapon of solidarity and self-organization to decide for ourselves.Of course, these words fit any election we are referring to, whether they areparliamentary or student elections. Especially for the first ones, things areknown. Politicians wear the berta of the savior in the color of their party, theypromise a better future with increased salaries and pensions either in the lightof far-right neoliberalism, or in the light of social democracy or systemicpro-European leftism, etc.As for the student ones, things don't really change, but they are limited withinthe universities. Thus, correspondingly, we see with the same zeal theuniversity's party officials slowly withdraw from the student struggles, preparing their pre-election game in turn. For the would-be political careerists, the project boils down to the creation of hierarchical bodies (AdministrativeCouncils) with which they will have primacy in the decisions of the studentassociations. The Boards of Directors they are the way in which some politicalopportunists, putting into practice the logic of delegation, arbitrarily decidefor the entire body of the association invoking their electoral sovereignty. Thispractice ultimately degrades the student associations and their strongest tool, the General Assembly. Procedures and vehicles, acquired by the student struggles, are reduced to the altar of the imposing dominance of some political forces. Itis not a lie that as anarchists we criticize even the way the General Assembly isconducted. but also in the structure of the F.S. as a whole as institutionalprocedures that constitute with all that this entails. However, we fullyunderstand the importance of participating in them as another part of the socialfield in which we must intervene. Can the F.S. to have presidents and electionsor the G.S. however, votes are the only means that the student movement has todayto ferment, to cultivate collective consciences, to raise resistance against theeducational restructuring. For this reason, even in these fields we intervenehorizontally and from below with "open frameworks" in the writing of whichparticipates any student who wishes to share his/her own perception. In otherwords, in terms of self-organization, away from parties, factions and closedprocesses, we ferment together by giving clubs the competitive characteristicsthat characterize them. Because it is a general truth for us, that anycompetitive process that is completely cut off from the base and assigned toinstitutions, cannot be massive, generate resistance and clash with the state andits mechanisms. In a more general context, our attitude is uncompromising and firm, towards theelection process as an institution that normalizes and reproduces theauthoritarian logics of the modern state-capitalist system. Student electionsplace a stone in the further strengthening of the current self-interested modelof social dominance and attempt to establish a system of hierarchy andpaternalism in the university space. And if for the political careerists, theelections are the focus of their struggle, we are not content simply with ananti-election speech. We do not differentiate ourselves by simply stating ourdenials. We recommend the organization for strong unguarded and fighting races. For us it is clear that justice is judged in the streets, and that social andclass struggles do not enter the ballot box. On the contrary, they arecriminalized and suppressed by every state and every authority. We envision a society defined by our needs, not mandated would-be saviors.YOU SHOULD NOT GIVE THEM EVEN A VOTE, STRIKES AND EXPLOIATION ClashesTHE BOSSES ARE THE SAME, RIGHT AND LEFTOUR MATCHES DO NOT FIT INTO THEIR BALLSQuieta Movere Anarchist Student Assemblyhttps://landandfreedom.gr/el/apopseis/1256-quieta-movere-den-tous-dinoume-oyte-mia-psifo-politiki-anakoinosi_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
