Silently, but with stubbornness and perseverance, the Meloni government
implements its political project of building a "modern" neo-corporate society .It is a corporatism built no longer on the professions and trades which, expressing representation in the Chamber of Corporations, manage the state andsocial dynamics but a census corporatism built on taxation privileged. In the newItaly that is preparing the conflicts between capital and labor will not beovercome through the authoritarian intervention of the State and theestablishment of economic and trade based corporations, on the model of themedieval ones, but the citizens will be merged in such a way as to form a set ofcensus categories that the State, manager of the tax levy, identifies as holdersof privileged situations which, in derogation from the principle of equality andprogressiveness of the tax levy, enjoy a favorable tax treatment that allows themto enjoy social services intended for all, contributing to the common wealth witha minor contribution, exercising a political power expressed through belonging toa class. It will thus happen that a self-employed worker and an employee, depending on theincome produced, will have different tax regimes: lower taxes for theself-employed worker, higher for the employee. The tax rates will be reduced bybenefiting the highest incomes in accordance with the fact that it is better totax the poor who are many and not the rich who are few, when in reality there aremany. Just look around and look at the owners of assets, the owners of boatsanchored in marinas registered to shell companies, the cars owned and exhibitedon the streets or in front of trendy clubs and compare them with the respectivetax returns.Less taxes for everyoneBut what does "less taxes for all" mean (more correctly, less taxes for therichest) and not less public resources available and therefore less services foreveryone, less health care, less schooling, less training, less transport, lessservices: this choice it impoverishes society as a whole, it impoverisheseveryone. Be careful to rejoice in the suppression of basic income because+ thepresence of a group of structurally poor people is a powerful pole of attractionthat draws the poorest into poverty and desperation, first of all those who, while working, have an income that is insufficient to meet the needs of aminimally decent life. These are first of all the holders of precarious andtemporary jobs, the vast majority of young people, older workers who are victimsof company crises, sucked into the precariousness, all called to face a tax onthe poor, inflation, which hovers around 10%.To achieve this result, the Government wields the weapon of the flat tax whichmeans flat tax, or rather a taxation without progressiveness, with the resultthat behind a formal equality of treatment, those who have more or earn more payless. The basic idea of this approach is that everyone must think for themselvesand that the role of the state and public authorities must be reduced as much aspossible. So if you want health care you pay for it and you do the same withschool, transport, services, everything. A selfish society where the strongestclasses and classes see their privileged positions guaranteed and secured.Furthermore, in the intentions of the Government, to strengthen and support theprocess of redistribution of income and wealth, the implementation ofdifferentiated autonomy will have to contribute, which will have the function ofconcentrating the country's wealth and income towards some Regions. In this way,the basis of consensus necessary to establish a social and income hierarchy willbe created which will profoundly restructure society, contributing to changingsocial sentiment. This ambitious project of redesigning society is accompanied by that of removingethical behaviors and visions such as the fight against the so-called gendertheory, a revision of customs, the restoration of the values of the so-calledtraditional family, thus seeking the consent of the most retrive of the country, having as models Orban's Hungary or the very Catholic Poland of the free-gayareas, in the belief that the change in economic and structural conditions canaffect to the point of conditioning and determining customs. For an open and supportive societyThe economic, social and institutional project of the right needs a strong anddecisive response, an articulated strategy that overturns this design byfollowing a path and with clear and shared actions. In the absence of analternative majority in Parliament, the only viable path is that of socialmobilization and struggle, starting with opposing the project to implementdifferentiated autonomy through the construction of a refusal of the projectstarting from the territories which acts on the level of mobilization ofcitizens, residents and which also involves local institutions regardless of thepolitical majorities that hold its management. The same political elites of theregions of the Southern Regions, impact. At the same time, the opposition must open a battle front for everythingconcerning the right to work, against precarious work, for a minimum wage to beestablished and by restarting disputes and struggles for the renewal ofemployment contracts, claiming the increase in wages, definitely too low.A platform for the fight against clandestine and underpaid work must be builtbecause only through this path is it possible to fight against the clandestineemigration that feeds it. It must be clear that the exploitation of undeclaredwork is made possible through the laws on emigration and the Bossi Fini which byintroducing and leaving migrants in structural irregularity create and constantlyfeed a parallel labor market, underpaid and undeclared which it depresses wagesand competes unfairly with other workers. Only by breaking this perverse spiraland creating a great alliance of all regular and irregular workers is it possibleto overturn the balance of power and create the seeds of a change in thepolitical situation in society. At the same time, the struggle for housing must be developed and supported aseveryone's primary right to be able to dispose of an essential good to lead adignified life; the battle must be fought for the strengthening of health care inthe area and for more resources for the public health service, putting an end tothe trade in patients between rich and poor regions, to the full advantage ofhealth care managed by private individuals who thus erode the already scarcepublic resources. In this direction, the changes in political line that can be glimpsed at least insome reformist parties can be of help, but this must be able to happen withoutdelegating anything, trusting in the charismatic role of young and old leaders, women or men. It is the concrete facts and behaviors that make the difference andshow the real intentions of the political forces that are proposing themselvesfor the management of the country, but even more so is everyone's personalcommitment to direct action.Towards a new round of strugglesThe crisis of the globalization process induced by the Ukrainian war and theprocess of transition from a bipolar world to a multipolar world require allpolitical forces to carefully reflect and reconsider their strategy and eventheir vision of society. There is no more room for nationalisms and sovereigntiesand the dimension of the areas of economic and political management of thecompanies goes beyond the dimension of the nation and moves towards that of macroareas that gravitate around converging interests. It remains to be establishedwhether conflicting relations or peaceful coexistence, even if competitive, areestablished between these different areas. The choice seems to be forced because, while the scenario of conflictingrelationships moves in the direction of nuclear conflict and therefore mutualannihilation, only the second scenario guarantees the survival of mankind. Butfor this new balance to work, it is necessary that even within the differentareas the shared management of society prevails over the conflictual one.In this perspective and taking into account this reference framework, it isnecessary that the revolutionary forces operate, but also the political forces ofthe reformist left and that they move within the perspective and open up todifferent behaviors, preparing themselves to play a positive and constructiverole, which can only happenabandoning and denying the ordoliberal drift embarked on in the 80s of the lastcentury to share a strategy of profound restructuring of social and productiverelations, characterized by the egalitarian redistribution of wealth, resourcesand well-being, not only within some areas of the planet but all over the globe. The ongoing social struggles seem to be going in this direction and it is theduty of those who lead the forces of the left today, including reformists, toimplement behaviors, strategies, propose disputes which, operating simultaneouslyon both sides, that of economic and social rights and that of civil rights andfreedoms, make possible an ever greater participation of all in the choices andmanagement of society.Only in this way is it possible to prevent society and the entire planet fromfalling into social regression, succumbing to the progressive reduction of thepossibilities for a dignified life, escaping wars and mutual destruction, fueledby hatred and the desire for power, by the search of wealth and selfishness. The editorial staffhttp://www.ucadi.org/2023/03/22/neocorporativismo/_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.ca
