Dear,  The war in Ukraine is quickly escalating. The Ukrainians are fighting to regain lost territory while the Russians are resorting to missile attacks on cities. Quite literally, we never know where the missiles might fall. Overnight it was the capital Kyiv and Lviv, where our partner vet Dr. Pavlina Harasym lives, rescuing animals in an animal ambulance we bought.   Animals suffer no matter where the attacks take place, our teams have to be ready to rescue animals day and night. No matter where they live, animal lives are at risk of exploding in fire and death as their homes are destroyed and their humans killed. Credit: AP/Rodrigo Abd Time and again, we witness shivering, traumatized, terrified dogs whimpering outside the ruins of places they once called home. Our mission is to be there for them, feed them and get them to shelter. It is a tough and dangerous task, but the animals need us, and with your help, we will be there for them.  To make matters even worse, our partner, Vetmarket Pluriton, reports that animals are still in desperate need of aid because of the destruction of the country’s Kakhovka dam. Huge areas have flooded, humans have fled, and animals have been abandoned. Vetmarket has been our partner throughout the war.
