Meloni would like women committed tohaving children for their country, the second "mother of all of us *, as shedeclared after the Alpine meeting in Udine, who, like every year, in differentlocations, behave like occupying troops. ---- Like every year, the governmentwill use the military ceremonies of June 2 to justify huge military expenditures,the sending of weapons and Italy's direct commitment in military missions abroad,from Ukraine to Africa. Wars, rapes, land occupations, bombings, tortures, theentire collection of human horrors, if committed by men and women employed in anarmy, becomes legitimate, necessary, timely, heroic. A few steps from our homes, the weapons used in wars everywhereare produced and tested. Italian troops use them in "peace" missions abroad,Italian industries sell them to countries at war. These weapons have killedmillions of people, destroyed cities and villages, irreparably poisoned entireterritories.Italy is at war. The military are increasingly present on the streets of ourcities, in neighborhoods where making ends meet is increasingly difficult, wherethe ranks of the homeless, without income, precarious are lengthening. They serveto prevent and repress any social insurgency, to silence anyone who rebelsagainst an increasingly ferocious social order. The police function and themilitary function are increasingly intertwined: the distance between internal warand external war is disappearing.
