Here are the main stories on the agenda of the past week ---- Violence is theirbread ---- In Novosibirsk, a man in military uniform and with a chevron, presumably PMC "Wagner" raped two schoolgirls 10 and 12 years old. At the sametime, he threatened that he would blow them up with a grenade. ---- Also thisweek, a Wagner PMC mercenary was shot dead in the Irkutsk region - he celebratedhis return from the war, quarreled with a drinking buddy and received a fatalshot from a gun. ---- This is not the first time that participants in the invasionof Ukraine - mobilized or the mercenaries continue violence, already at homekilling other people or each other. We have already noted earlier that people whohave connected their lives with violence on behalf of the state do not leave itin the place where they went to commit it. They take it with them to where theycame from. Violence surrounds our society, as its main functions are organized onthe basis of coercion and other forms of violence - including physical. It is a pattern that women are the first to face this violence. By the samelogic, domestic violence has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dominationis the logic of patriarchy, which holds capitalism, colonialism, and the statetogether like glue. In the coming months and years, we will see a continuation ofthis picture: the machine of state violence has spun more than usual, and no onewill escape violence. Therefore, it is necessary to learn to defend oneself - and most importantly, toorganize self-defense collectively. Given the inability of the Russian state'ssecurity apparatus to solve internal problems, it can be assumed that thesatisfaction of the human need for security will cease to be an area in which thePutin regime holds a monopoly. Therefore, security will certainly become one ofthe most pressing issues in our society, along with food, transportation, infrastructure, healthcare and other issues where people will need mutualassistance. People will inevitably organize structures to deal with all sorts ofsuch problems - for example, the need for self-defense.The question for anarchists and anarchists is this: can we become a movement thatwill take part in the creation of such structures and influence how they areorganized and whether they serve the people, and not the government or new powerstructures?Fear and Justice in NovosibirskMeanwhile, let's go back to Novosibirsk. There, Orthodox imperialists went on areligious procession and demanded that Putin "deal with the migrants", referringto several different incidents of conflicts with men from Tajikistan that endedin the death of locals. It is ironic that the protesters, in their appeals to the authorities, drewattention to the fact that these incidents are especially egregious now that thewar is going on. The fact that the Putin regime is sending both Russians andpeople of other nationalities en masse to die in another country for goals thatare not close to the population of Russia did not particularly worry theprotesters. Needless to say, the protesters were also not interested in thequestion of why many Tajiks and Tajiks are forced to go to the RussianFederation, work as cattle, and face racism from the cops and the localpopulation. Be that as it may, Orthodox Russians actually have more commoninterests with any migrants and female migrants than with the authorities at anylevel in Russia. In this example, we see that our society is sorely lacking in solidarity and waysto resolve their conflicts in a self-organized manner, without the interventionof the authorities and their power apparatus. Their goal is that we are not ableto solve social issues and situations on our own, and therefore present our powerstructures as the only possibility. To do this, they also need to point toconflicts between different religious and national groups as the source of theproblem. Then the conditional Tajiks and Tajiks will seem to be a problem, evenmore destitute and disenfranchised than conditional destitute and disenfranchisedcitizens and citizens of the Russian Federation. It is they, and not thesnickering authorities and their garbage, who directly and indirectly rob andkill most people in this country.War against natureMurder, murder and all for the glory of capital. The authorities of Buryatia have allowed 3,000 cormorants to be killed, and theyeven offer to compensate the hunters for the costs of shooting. Allegedly, thebirds are unlikely to inflict on the fauna, since they eat the "valuable andprotected" Baikal omul.Capital is once again trying to absolve itself of guilt. Recall that for a longtime (since 2017) omul fishing is prohibited, but despite this, it is caught intons. But the authorities cannot sign that, thanks to their actions andinactions, omul continues to be caught? That is why the government is now makingsuch stupid statements. Why stupid? Cormorants are natural participants in theBaikal ecosystem, and if they were a threat to fish, the omul would not havesurvived. The only ones that harm the fish are anthropocentrism. First, theycatch one species in such quantities that it becomes dangerous for the species, and then they turn on the role of "reasonable regulator" and begin to exterminatethe other species. But it would be naive to say that these people present man as a species in theform of a value.Explosion of human historyIn the Irkutsk region, another site of an ancient man was destroyed byexplosions. In April, an exploration company carried out explosions near theTalma River, and this led to the fact that they damaged the archaeological site.More specifically, they damaged the rock paintings, which are several thousandyears old.It was possible to attract the attention of the prosecutor's office and theregional service for the protection of monuments only after the first explosions.By this time, one of the sites of the ancient man, which is more than seventhousand years old, was destroyed.Local residents say that the explosions near the Talma pisanitsy are carried outby the Seismopoisk company, which is looking for oil and gas fields. Historiansare perplexed how such a project passed the examination and received permissionto carry out work. There is nothing "holy" for the state and capitalism. Their values are power andmoney. And no matter what someone declares, they deeply care about history, andnature, and the people. Even now, no one has appreciated what a cultural lossmankind has suffered. No one asked the questions "whether the search for oil isworth the destruction of nature and human culture."We should be asking these questions. We should find some balance betweenprimitivism and "rejection of progress" and techno-optimism with cyberpunk in thefuture. We are all going homeThe loudest event was the entry of saboteurs into the territory of Russia. Youall have already heard about it, if not, then the RDK (Russian Volunteer Corps)and the Freedom of Russia Legion entered the territory of the Belgorod Region andmade a lot of noise there. For more than a day, shots and explosions rang out,and the commander of the local self-defense was killed. The Legion "Freedom of Russia" seems generally mythical and there is noconfirmation that it really exists, but the RDC are Russian nationalists who arefighting on the side of Ukraine as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In thecurrent regime, they do not like only the destruction of "Russians as an ethnicgroup." In other words, these are the same fascists, but in profile.Perhaps we will all have to confront these formations in the future, because theydo not even carry criticism of authoritarianism and will certainly begin toattack citizens if they seize power. How to treat such events is a question that cannot be answered withoutcontradictions. Yes, these are also fascists, and all according to the preceptsof the classic Escobar: this is garbage, this is. But the fascist saboteurs arestill shaking the system, which we wish a speedy collapse. Does this mean thatthese fascists are "good"? Naturally, no. However, their actions provide anotherwindow for maneuver, and each such opportunity is now worth its weight in gold.We are not in a position to neglect even the slightest cracks in the system. But I would like to remind you that our comrades and comrades are also fightingon the side of Ukraine. We invite you to read a long article about Dmitry Petrov, who died near Bakhmut last month, and get acquainted with the activities of theSolidarity Collectives, a volunteer network that helps at the front.ConclusionSomehow it happened that in this issue we concentrated on the violence anddestruction that humanity brings in its current form. Of course, it is importantto know about these things and analyze them, but we still want to remind you thatthe world does not consist of only darkness and hopelessness, there is still alot of beauty in it, for the preservation of which we should fight. Let's notforget about it and do not despair!Well, that's all for today! We remind you that in "Trends of Order and Chaos" theparticipants of Autonomous Action and other authors give anarchist assessments ofcurrent events.
