Faced with the electoral trap, deepen the popular struggle! ---- We are
facing a national context marked, inevitably, by the economic cataclysm,promoted simultaneously by this government and by the recent electoralprocess -still without outcome-, with liberal-reactionary sectorsadvancing and with a collapse of Peronism without preceding. ---- In thefirst place, the scenario proposed by the Massa government -which is whoreally has the helm of policies in this context-, is determined by a"cooling off" of the economy. The first sign of this has to do with thevery serious devaluation of 22%, partly due to pressure from the IMFregardless of the electoral result, and partly due to theunsustainability of the monetary policy thought from the Ministry ofEconomy.Faced with this abrupt devaluation (which reminds us of Kicillof's in2014 of 23%, or Macri's of 50% in 2019), there is no parity or increasein plans that can cope with the price escalation that is coming.Consider that, given this, inflation can reach 10% per month, taking theinterannual rate above 150%. The family basket (today $323,000 accordingto ATE Indec) will undoubtedly blow up in a few weeks, which will worsenthe living conditions of the popular sectors throughout the country inthe short term.On the other hand, it is worth highlighting the increase in the interestrate to 118% provided by the Central Bank. The entry objective is thatpeople do not buy dollars and continue to put money in banks in a fixedterm. But these measures, inevitably, put an end to the possibility ofgranting credits, loans and subsidies, for which the private sector,specifically small and medium-sized companies, without credit, willchoose to cut the thinnest thread: cut staff and freeze wages.The government's objective is for the economy to move as little aspossible, without surprises, something to reach the end of the mandatewith governability. Massa, Alberto and Cristina do not want to advancethe transition as happened with Alfonsín-Menem, much less flee from thegovernment as happened with the Alliance. The ruling political bloc isalready aware that united Peronism has never in history pierced theelectoral floor of 30% or reached this level of institutional wear.Once again, the elections reveal what is not openly debated in themedia: representative democracy -or "bourgeois democracy"- never ceasedto be an imposed and institutional imposition system, a system thathinders and reduces the possibility of collective construction. A systemthat somehow prepares undesirable scenarios for the people, even whenthe people must "choose" between options that are antagonistic to theirinterests. The culminating point of this has to do with the electoralresult, which outlines the possibility of a runoff between twoanti-people and anti-rights sectors, such as Milei and Bullrich,gathering between the two almost 50% of the votes in I PASS THEM.Regarding this political complexity at the national level that we aregoing through, we are going to contribute what we have mentioned inprevious analyses. That there are no magical solutions. That the social,political, cultural and above all ideological processes are years old,not months prior to the elections. This is like wanting to study thesame day there is an exam and pretending to pass the subject. If duringthe 364 days where there are no elections there is no context and atransformative and revolutionary means to reverse the calamitousconditions in which we are living as a people, it is difficult forthings to be different."People are tired" is often heard. And there is really an exhaustion ofthe democratic-representative model, where the opulence with whichlegislators, presidents and judges live contrasts with the famine thatappears on each table, in each refrigerator of families throughout thecountry. If the reactionary, ultra-liberal, evangelical andultra-nationalist sectors have advanced and have more social reach, itis due to a setback in the grassroots militancy of a large part of theleft, of progressivism and of the more humanist sectors of Peronism.This is also reflected in the high level of electoral absenteeism and inthe volume of blank and null votes in almost all the provinces. Hundredsof thousands of people are forced to vote and see no way out of this.The logic that "changes come from above" paved the way for discontent,channeled in many cases by the reactionary right. The surprise at the"Milesi phenomenon" in part of the political militancy and middlesectors is directly proportional to the distancing of the grassrootsconstructions of the popular sectors. The passivity of numerous unionleaderships and social movements also did their job. The "truce"offered to Alberto-Cristina-Massa by these groups ends up exposing asocial climate and discontent that was channeled by reactionary sectors,which in turn compete to see who has the recipe to speed up theadjustment against the people. .Meanwhile, in each neighborhood, drug trafficking and social violencethat engulfs the lives of our kids advances, meanwhile the fight of thepoor against the poor deepens, well reflected in the enlighteningdocument of FAU of 2010 "Fragmentation and the new poverty". At the sametime in the workplace, in addition to the constant -and exhausting-fight for the reopening of parities, a scenario of layoffs andsuspensions is being foreseen, within the framework of an adjustmentdemanded by the employers' chambers, which has as a corollary a laborreform.Regardless of what happens in this election, in the next one, in eachelection, it will be essential to redouble the militant efforts of thesectors or currents that, in one way or another, yearn for a societywithout oppressors or oppressed. Energy must be put at the service oforganized resistance. Everything else is to continue dodging theunderlying problem and fall into that "corral of branches" that are theelections, as old Mechoso liked to call it. We must humbly note that theonly way out is to strengthen the popular organizations, with which ineach period of history we have conquered the main popular demands andhave put a stop to the different attempts to remove rights andadjustments. This strategy will mark, in the long term, the advancetowards a process of revolutionary rupture, against a system ofoppression that cannot be saved or patched up, not even with a thousandmore elections.In the short term, it is essential to push wage fights to the streets,for working conditions, in defense of jobs, for better living conditionsin the neighborhoods. Recently there were strikes by the UOM, healthworkers, state, UTA drivers. Solidarity with this type of conflict isparamount. It is also necessary, based on the struggle, to cut the linkbetween the union leadersstagnant with the electoral apparatus -in general massista- that hasbeen postponing direct action, in favor of a self-destructive truce forthose below. It is a priority to create a "climate of protest" given theseriousness of what is really happening below. For much less he went outto protest against the Alliance or Macri. "Waiting for the newgovernment" is ultimately mortgaging the resistance, by the time it istoo late and the dominant sectors have the strength and legitimacy tocrush the popular struggle.
