The death of our fellow citizen, the result of the lack of
infrastructure, the indifference and the criminal cooperation of local
and state authorities, a product of the "big picture" that creates the
homeless and throws them, in the best of cases, to the animal beds of
the center of Athens, is the cruder crystallization of what the
capitalist system and the state stand for. Because the death of our
homeless fellow is not only the culmination of the political analgesia
of a Municipality and the clique that sucks it, but an integral part of
the social and class tragedy that unfolded in the previous weeks from
the "capitalist heat" that spread death and destruction throughout the
country.

The "fate" of our fellow citizen in Agioi Anargyros was the same that
befell many others all these days and belongs to the same, black "list"
of deaths that shook the whole society and the working class. His death
had the same causes as those deaths on the job, in fires, in detention
centers, in carts in the absence of ambulances and under bridges: the
profitability of the bosses. The blood-soaked profitability that steps
on the backs of workers in catering, tourism and all those specialties
where workers are forced to work outdoors in extreme heat conditions. It
is this blood-stained profiteering which is redistributed by the state
to a few hands and devalues the financing of key structures, the
blood-stained profiteering which puts above all its expansion, even
stepping on human wreckage, counting nothing in front of the
reproduction of the system that allows.

Therefore, if we do not understand that the few live from the toil of
our work, if we do not understand that it is not the "incapacity" of
individuals but the system of capitalism and the state itself, if we do
not understand that it is up to us to overthrow this rotten edifice and
continue to expect "better days" without struggles, without belief in
another world, then the worst is ahead, in every aspect of social life.
The wealth, the goods, the services, everything that exists and our
exploiters reap it, everything that exists and they destroy it, is ours,
it belongs to the whole society and the whole working class.
