The workers of the centers and stores of Jerez de la Frontera of the
group "Aire by Looks" (belonging to the company Peluquerías y Salones,S.L.) have carried out a strike on August 4, 5 and 7, to demand that thecompany to collect their back payroll. ---- The strike has had a greatfollowing among the employees, since 22 of the 24 workers from the Jerezcenters have participated (91% percent of the workforce), located inCarrefour Norte, Carrefour Sur and the Los Cisnes building . Thehairdressers have not opened and the company has had significanteconomic losses by not working on days when the influx of customers isusually high.But the company's management does not give in and does not respond tothe most urgent and necessary demand, which is simply to pay the backpayrolls (half of June and the entire July) to the workers, and sign acommitment to pay from the 1st to the 5th of each month (so that thesituation does not happen again).So the CNT Union Section in Peluquerías y Salones, S.L., which is comingout of the strike that ended yesterday with more force, has decided tocall another strike again, this time for a week, from August 21 to 26, 2023.On this occasion, employees from the Sanlúcar de Barrameda centers willalso participate, since several of them have joined the union and havedecided to join the CNT proposal for Huelga y Acción Directa.Later we will inform about new concentrations that will take placeduring the strike.
