From August 13 to 20, 2023, the UCL self-managed summer days will take
place. They are open to activists of the organization, subscribers tothe monthly Alternative Libertaire, their spouses and their children.Registrations have been closed since July 15. Here is the program! ----see also: Red and Black Summer Days 2023, Libertarian Communist Union---- Each year, these summer days are an opportunity for the libertariancommunist current to meet in a different setting, to put names on faces,to discuss our experiences, to take stock of the ongoing struggles inorder to leave fully pumped up after the summer, to share and deepenknowledge, but also to share moments of conviviality .The setting is magnificent: it is the hamlet of Bécours, in Aveyron(site of the Girl Scouts and Scouts of France). This week is also an ephemeral experience of putting self-managementinto practice: everyone gets their hands dirty, we organize ourselvescollectively by sharing tasks and during daily general meetings! Thedesire is also that everyone can find their way around by offering aframework that is as inclusive as possible. The program is built collectively by UCL's commissions and local groups:it is still being developed (don't hesitate to make suggestions!), andyou can find its updated version on the UCL.After an opening General Assembly on Sunday August 13 at 6 p.m., sixdays will follow during which there will be a series of workshops, plenary sessions, daily general assemblies and non-mixed generalassemblies (gender/people experiencing racism). The international center ofgirl scouts and scouts of France, in Bécours, welcomes us. The place isnot " privatized " and we respect the rules of collective life of the site:no animals, even on a leash;maintaining the cleanliness of the premises;respect for other groups that may camp elsewhere on the site;respect for smoking areas;respect for the nocturnal tranquility. You also have to do your part in self-management. If the stay is soinexpensive, it is because household chores are managed collectively. There are two kinds of tasks:"heavy" : clearing dishes and cleaning the kitchen, cleaning sanitaryfacilities, cooking, installation of the site on the first day, uninstallation of the site on the last day;"light" ones : serving at the table, supervising the self-manageddishes, running the bookstore, taking out the trash, arrangingbreakfast, running the bar, setting the table, collecting registrations.A heavy task is worth 2 light tasks. The share is, for 3 days of stay, 1heavy task and 2 light tasks (or 2 heavy tasks, or 3 light tasks) perperson. Make your accounts! You have to pay your contribution to the costs. A "window" to cash theregulations will be open every midday, at the beginning of the meal.To establish equal relationships:Neither racism, nor sexism, nor homophobia will be tolerated.Sexual consent is imperative: no means no; a silence should not beinterpreted as a yes. We remain worthy in all circumstances:The bar is open during moments of relaxation; it is closed duringconferences, debates and training. The program is scalable. It remains possible for participants to offer,on site, workshops in consultation with the organizing committee. If thesubject is relevant, the commission will submit the finalized proposalto the general assembly.https://www.unioncommunistelibertaire.org/?Journees-d-ete-2023-Apres-l-annee-chargee-venez-decompresser_________________________________________A - I N F O S N E W S S E R V I C EBy, For, and About AnarchistsSend news reports to A-infos-en mailing listA-infos-en@ainfos.caSPREAD THE INFORMATION
