environment. The lack of firefighting means, manpower and equipment is
obvious, as are the responsibilities of the state apparatus for the huge
damaged areas, the burnt houses but above all for the dead people who
are lost once again paying with their lives the obscene profit of the
bosses. ---- In the grim reality, dozens of people - firefighters,
rescuers, health workers and volunteers fight hard battles with the fire
and at the same time evacuate hospitals, shelters, set up makeshift
kitchens, organize collections of basic necessities and are there to
help every downtrodden, after the state apparatus has nothing to offer.

And while the world in solidarity contributes in every possible way to
extinguishing the fire, the state and fascism are here to celebrate
death and ask for more blood. Specifically, on 22/8 after the fire
subsided, which burned for three days in the forest area in Dadia, 26
charred bodies were found - among them two children - belonging to
refugees and immigrant women who remained hidden so they could continue
their journey inside the country and met a horrible death in the flames.
At the same time, there are updates on hundreds of migrants who are
hiding in the Evros delta, on its islands and in the surrounding areas,
in order to avoid repatriation, being in danger as the fire continues to
burn the area

The news about the death of 26 people was the one that triggered a wave
of hatred and anger not for the perpetrators of this murder, but for the
victims themselves. The Ministry of Asylum and Immigration stated that
"this is what illegal immigration has" and the line this was continued
perfectly by the loyal dogs of the state, all kinds of fascists and
neo-Nazis. So while dozens of people were fighting to put out the flames
that live in the city, groups of neo-Nazis went out to hunt immigrants,
having weapons with them and reaching the point of raising pictures and
videos of hostages loaded into trailers and carts! An unprecedented
pogrom which is supported and fueled by the state with its official
representatives and their emetic statements, by the scum of the fascist
groups and parties, but above all by a part of society that the only
answer it finds to the destruction is "for it's all foreigners' fault'
and the only call to action that follows is hunting and humiliating people.

On Wednesday, August 23, an attack was carried out on the site of the
Reading Room and on the people who had gathered for the invited
anti-fascist gathering. In the wake of all the fascist pogroms, a body
of about 30 people tried to cause a clash with the world of guarding to
take a defensive stance trying to contain the people. In the last week,
the Reading Room has been the central solidarity network that supports
fire victims and firefighters both by distributing essential items and
by contributing to the social kitchen "the other person" offering
hundreds of portions to the world it operates.

Ten years after the murder of Shahzat Luqman, Pavlos Fyssa and the
pogroms of immigrants by the assault battalions of the A.A., just two
months after the deadly shipwreck of Pylos and a week after the murder
of another immigrant in Perissos, we are here for to say again that the
state and fascists murder people and that every death nowadays is a
state murder.

The "anti-systemic" Nazis are nothing more than the long arm of the
state, used to do the dirty work and carry out the execution of those
whom the state apparatus itself has condemned to death. The killers are
out again in the streets and ask again to drink blood. Keep in mind that
they will find us in front of them! Every fascist scum that talks about
pogroms, every neo-Nazi formation that supports and silences these
actions and every cult killer, will have to take the consequences of
their actions. Fascism is broken and will hit the streets once again.

We call on the world of struggle to once again stand by the side of the
oppressed and the hells of this world, to erect barriers of solidarity
and mutual aid and to give a militant and dynamic response to the
fascists by retaliating against their pogroms and sending their ideology
to the trash of history.
