inevitably allow "superintelligent" digital machines to take away from

self-reproduce, consists in the "cognitive enhancement" of human brain
faculties using digital prostheses or in the "technological coupling"
between man and machine through a process of neural hybridization. Only
in this way will human beings (who have become "post-human" or, better,
"superhuman") be able to "keep up" and attempt to harness artificial
superintelligences, while at the same time devising ways to extend
lifespan indefinitely and restore to the human body health and vigor,
and even transfer the mind, if deemed appropriate, onto a digital substrate.

This "imaginative" (but could also be defined as utopian or dystopian)
conception of the transhumanists is paired with other extreme and
reckless reactions regarding the possible future domination of
"superintelligent" machines, which, dictated by feelings of indignation,
fear and anger , are, however, decidedly out of place and out of time,
and above all they do not lead to forms of organized struggle, to mass
mobilisations, to well-founded critical and radical analyses, such as
those which have so far made it possible to reduce much more immediate
dangers of extinction of the human species, conveyed by capitalism and
the state system (ranging from nuclear power to genetic mutations, from
synthetic biology to climate engineering, from biomedical manipulations
to molecular nanotechnology).

The main objection to transhumanism, however, lies in the inconsistency
of a theory that relies, to achieve its purpose, on Artificial
Intelligence which it claims to fight and from which it deludes itself
into receiving the ability and knowledge necessary to do so. Instead, it
will be the human brain that ends up trapped and suffers the
consequences: dependence, homologation, adaptation and absorption
functional to self-learning and the evolution of the supermachine.
Hybridization will also lead to serious compatibility problems between
the natural and artificial components, which will result in the gradual
elimination of the former, the most perishable and perishable (skin,
flesh, lungs, heart and brain gray matter) in the face of progressive
immutability, immateriality and replicability of digital machines.
Finally, the new transhumanist society, by not questioning the
capitalist economy and its mechanisms at all, will not only reproduce
its upheavals, inequalities, alienations and unfreedoms, but will add
further profound divisions between the "superhuman" beings in power, in
perpetual competition with each other - due to the inability to
experience those emotions, aspirations and insecurities that are the
basis of solidarity societies -, and the subspecies of men deprived of
technological benefits and forced "to serve".

The question that arises today is not so much that of the replacement of
the natural element with the artificial one, in the future, but the
progressive homologation to digital procedures, which is already
underway, of essential components of human behavior, language,
management of daily life. The use of Artificial Intelligence, which also
tightens the procedures of social control and repression, already poses
a problem of ruling oligarchies and enslaved societies. The fact that
the former may be replaced in the future by more efficient and more
capable machines does not greatly change the objective of our struggle
which consists in taking back our life and freedom, without disdaining
to do so with technological tools, even sophisticated ones but brought
back to human dimensions. , direct management and community use.
