From our class union we want to send a sincere message of
encouragement, strength and solidarity to our Moroccan brothers andsisters in these disastrous days and, especially, to the working classand poor people (indistinguishable in most cases). who have seen how,both during the earthquake and in the subsequent consequences, they havebeen the ones on whom most of the pain has fallen due to the loss oflife and the desperation due to the lack of resources with which tosurvive and face the day to day. Lands devastated by poverty andcorruption imposed by the government and the monarchy, where theearthquake has suddenly ended a society where people live on a daily basis.The Moroccan people are strong and industrious and will know how to getout of the catastrophe they are suffering, without the support of thecorrupt and ineffective institutions they suffer from. But it is timefor the working class to draw conclusions about issues that repeatthemselves year after year, disaster after disaster, crisis aftercrisis, in many parts of the world. Yes, because what really kills us ispoverty, lack of resources and social injustice...The Moroccans have been buried in their very poor and deficient homes...Moroccans are still buried there due to non-existent infrastructure andthe absence of services, means and rescue plans...Moroccans are thirsty and hungry waiting for government aid that neitherexists nor is expected...The king of Morocco did not feel the violent tremors of the earthquakein his mansion in the VII arrondissement of Paris, 700 meters from theEiffel Tower, where he usually resides. And, apparently, he has not feltthe material disasters and the great human loss that devastates hispeople either...The earthquake has only accelerated to an atrocious level the disasterof a subsistence society, which sees its children risk their lives atsea, only to end up enslaved in European lands that despise them forbeing poor (we must remember that the sheikhs are "good"... because theyare rich) and prey on their vital force and human capacity, likedecrepit capitalist nosferatus.The working class only has itself and solidarity is its most powerfulweapon against adversity and abuses of power.
