It is not difficult to joke what Hamas has in common with theultra-nationalist Israeli government. ---- When you look at the worldaround you, you almost feel like you've gone completely crazy. As if itwere not enough that the planet is heating up much faster than expected,and as a result, unthinkable temperature records are falling, andvarious parts of the planet are plagued by natural disasters thatincrease in intensity year by year. If we were to start from thedesignation of the dominant species - homo sapiens, i.e. intelligent man- then we could admit that he came up with many inventions thanks to hisreason, and one would also like to believe that when he found out whatharm those inventions do, that he will give them up sensibly andpragmatically, already taking into account the natural urge to preservethe species. But the epithet sapiens was assigned by man in his godhoodto himself, without, as we can observe globally, having any real meaning.Humanity as a whole pretends to want to prevent a climate catastrophe,but the practice is completely the opposite. And as if that wasn'tenough, it unleashes murderous conflicts in various parts of the planet,as if it wants to prevent a climate disaster by eliminating itselfbefore its irreversible outbreak in full force.But this view has one big catch. First of all, humanity is not ahomogeneous whole and people are different and are affected by differentinfluences and conditions. A significant proportion of people do notwish for the destruction of the planet. But then the question arises,why don't they do something about it? One, the economically rulingminority, does nothing about it because they benefit from thedevastation. And the rest, the underprivileged, are convinced thatnothing can be done about it, that there is no alternative to predatorycapitalism. And when they speak up, as they say, they usually get caught.And it is not just about the capitalist practice of exploiting people,animals, the planet and future generations, it is also about the statesthemselves, which are led by pathological and narcissistic individualsobsessed with power. Either they are content with suffocating theinternal opposition and/or digging under themselves and theirco-religionists, or they have ambitions to expand, as we can see in theexample of Putin's bloody invasion of Ukraine.The latest performance of such an inhuman and murderous circus can beseen in the Middle East.Butchers from Hamas broke through the segregation barriers on October 7and went to kill whoever they came across. There were about 1,500civilian victims in the wreckage left behind. Butchers from the Israeligovernment responded in the only way they knew how - with widespreadrevenge on the territory of Gaza. That is, over a small area on whichover two million people are crowded, half of whom are children andminors; people who for many years have experienced terror from theIsraeli military forces on the one hand, and from Hamas on the otherhand, which is usurping power here like a gang in prison. After all,Gaza as such is considered the largest open-air prison in the world. Andso it is not surprising that Hamas recently dispersed social protests inGaza.Israeli government leaders do not agree with jihadist terrorists intheir statements. They called the Palestinians "human animals" and basedon that they also prepared a proper slaughterhouse for them, whichclaimed thousands of civilian casualties. And we are not talking aboutpreventing access to sources of food, drinking water and electricity.But this is nothing new, the Palestinians are second-class citizens,they are decided by military courts instead of civilian courts, they areimprisoned without trial, their houses are demolished, crops are burned,they experience attacks by extremist settlers. The process of ethniccleansing continues at this moment with increased intensity.The civilian population of Israel and occupied Palestine are suffering.The hatred deepens. Hamas, as well as the ruling Israeliultra-nationalists, are thus trying to score points. They do not careabout the welfare of the people, they only pursue their patriarchal,religious and nationalistic goals. They walk over corpses like all theirilk past and present. Occupation will never bring peace, only injustice.It can arouse legitimate opposition and resistance, but it can alsobring blind hatred and indiscriminate vindictiveness.Most ordinary people in the world have a lot in common and can getalong, live side by side and work together. However, this is oftenprevented by religious and nationalistic chimeras, which are only fueledby the wrongs committed and by those who profit from such a situation inpower or economically.We are sorry for all the civilian casualties, not just inPalestine/Israel, and our hearts go out to their families.If we as that imaginary humanity are to have any hope, those who live onhatred and violence must be overthrown, as well as those who profit fromexploiting people and destroying the planet.The A3 wall newspaper is published by the Anarchist Federation everymonth.
